What Winter Clothes Should You Bring to St. Petersburg

Looking for the perfect winter set to bring to St. Petersburg? You’ve stumbled on the right page!

In this blog, we’ll list down common winter clothes you can bring to St. Petersburg. Each of these clothes is guaranteed to protect you during the harsh winter seasons in the city.

Of course, you’re free to select your own brand and style. After all, dressing up for the winter is more fun when you’re in style.

Here are some winter clothes you should bring to St. Petersburg:

A Thick Warm Coat

If you want something practical and cozy without looking dull, get a high-quality coat. Thicker doesn’t always mean better—just choose the one that fits you snug enough so you can wear it over another outfit.

A coat stitched with faux fur is usually the best choice. It must also be at least knee-length down your body. Avoid buying a coat that’s too long for you, otherwise, you’ll be struggling once the hard wind blows.

A Durable Pair of Boots

Choose a pair where the soles can withstand both hot and cold weather. Genuine leather boots are usually the best option because they’re sturdier, and of course, they look good.

You can opt for ankle boots to provide more support for your feet. This will help you stay balanced when walking along slippery streets.

If you’re a girl, you can go for knee-high boots, but be careful with the heel since it may affect your comfort. Also, these are harder to store in the luggage, so you may have to just get one in St. Petersburg.

Additional Winter Accessories

First, get a pair of nice gloves. Extreme chill can make you feel numb, making it harder for you to grasp objects. Plus, it’s extremely uncomfortable and can’t chop your nails and dry your palm.

Second, buy a scarf. It provides an extra layer of warmth for your body. It also prevents your neck from prolonged exposure to the cold.

Third, consider getting a hat. A beanie is a nice choice, but most of them tend to be thin for protection. Go for a more serious winter hat that has two tails on both sides to cover your ear.  These are also usually adjustable so you won’t have to worry about sizes too much.

Long Sleeves, Sweaters, Cardigans

Winter protection is all about layering. You’ll want a thin shirt as a base cloth then add either a long sleeve or a sweater. You can also use a turtleneck or a hoodie if that’s what you like.

After wearing these layers, add your thick coat at the final touch. Wearing these layers makes it harder for the cold to hit your skin. Just make sure not to overdo it as it will weigh you down while outside.

Bringing the right winter clothes is important to battle the harsh cold during the winter seasons. Another great way to do this is to get moving to activate your body’s heat. Check out our other blogs here at MSM Unify to get started with the fun.
