The new online Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) has been officially launched, and enrollment for classes starting in August 2022 is now open.
The National Architectural Accrediting Board has approved RIT’s new online degree, which is being offered in collaboration with 2U Inc. (Nasdaq: TWOU), the parent company of global online learning platform edX.
RIT’s educational relationship will bring the institution’s highly respected campus-based curriculum to life in a dynamic digital environment that will assist learners pursuing professional education in architecture from across the United States and beyond.
The Golisano Institute for Sustainability at RIT offers a Master of Architecture degree created in 2011.
RIT’s master’s program is a one-of-a-kind global offering for aspiring architects and field leaders interested in pursuing a career in environmental sustainability and fair urban design.
With the launching of the online master’s degree, RIT Architecture Online will have the same degree requirements, program emphasis, direction, and strengths as the on-campus school, and will have the same rigor and reputation.
The curriculum will be developed and delivered by RIT academics using a combination of live and on-demand classes that may be accessed from anywhere in the world.
Moreover, students will participate in paid, immersive in-person cooperative education experiences in their communities, supplementing their classroom learning with practical experience.
