Dubai is now working to introduce its first-ever flagship global education summit and the biggest in-person education gathering called RewirEd. It will be held on Dec. 12–14, 2021 during the Knowledge and Learning Week at Expo 2020.

Seeking to reimagine the future of education, the country is gearing up for a broader RewirEd platform to provide participants across the globe with new approaches to challenges in education, best practices in the industry, and plans of action to materialize such an undertaking.

Expected to be the widest and most comprehensive face-to-face gathering of global education stakeholders, the RewirEd Summit is anticipated to welcome around 2,000 participants from all over the world.

According to Tariq Al Gurg, Dubai Cares CEO and Commissioner General for the Dubai Cares Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, this summit will serve as a strategic platform to rally for education.

The summit will feature three key themes, namely “Youth, Skills and the Future of Work,” “Innovation in Education,” and “Education Financing.”

The global education summit is led by Dubai Cares in collaboration with Expo 2020 Dubai and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC). Key international organizations such as UNICEF, UNESCO, and UNHCR are also taking part in the RewirEd Summit.

Interested attendees can secure a spot at the first world expo to be hosted by an Arab nation by visiting the RewirEd website.
