Canada has the capacity to produce world-renowned institutions. Similar to the US, there can also be cheaper study options in Canada, with a much simpler admissions process and increased opportunities for permanent residency.

The country’s top two education providers, the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia have high scores on research impact, manifesting its excellence in academic work and research. 1. University of Toronto

2. University of British Columbia

British Columbia’s oldest university is known as one of the most competitive in Canada. Its two campuses are located in Vancouver and Kelowna.

3. McGill University

Founded in 1821, McGill University is located at the base of Mount Royal, Montreal. The University established Canada’s first faculty of medicine back in 1829.

4. McMaster University

This institution is located in Hamilton, Ontario, and is named after prominent Canadian Senator William McMaster.

It focuses on research that will target society’s most urgent needs, especially in health sciences.

5. University of Montreal

The University of Montreal is the only French-speaking institution in THE top five. It is the second-largest when it comes to the student population with more than 36,000 students, a quarter of which are international students.

Graduates of this university are key players in scientific research, making breakthroughs in nuclear power, quantum cryptography, and visual perception.
