You don’t need to go through the trouble of looking for ways to apply for an MBA in Canada. We already have all the essentials here for you.

Why Take Your MBA in Canada

Canada’s robust economy, excellent healthcare, and unparalleled efforts toward cultural diversity are enough to guarantee a high standard of life. Some of the business schools in this country have also made it into the top 250 schools in QS Top Global MBA Rankings.

Compared to other top destinations for foreign students in the world, Canada has one of the simplest and easiest visa application and school admission processes.

General Requirements

Study Permit and Canadian Visa – The study permit is a document issued to foreign students, allowing them to study at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI). A study permit isn’t a visa, meaning it can’t be used to enter Canada. International students can apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or a Visitor Visa.

Acceptance Letter – International students will receive a Letter of Acceptance from the DLI if their application was approved and accepted. Applicants may be requested to present this letter during the admission process.

Bachelor’s Degree – A bachelor’s degree is a basic prerequisite to all graduate schools. Applicants must prepare the certificate from their undergraduate degree.

Standardized Tests – Most graduate schools in Canada, particularly top-ranked universities, require a minimum score on the GMAT or GRE.

English Language Proficiency Test – Foreign students from a non-English speaking country must demonstrate a high command of the English language. Graduate schools often require the IELTS or TOEFL for this criterion.

Transcript of Records – Students must prepare digital or scanned copies (often in PDF Format) of their undergraduate Transcript of Records. Copies of these transcripts can be submitted through the school’s online portal.

Letters of Recommendation – As part of evaluating professional qualifications, applicants must submit at least two letters of recommendation to their chosen school. These letters must highlight past work responsibilities and key achievements.

Academic CV – An academic CV or resume must outline the student’s educational background and employment history, arranged with the most recent at the top.

Essay – Essay or essays must detail the student’s purpose and motivation for choosing a certain area of study. The selection committee often assesses essays based on content and style.

Admission Process

Application processes for graduate schools in Canada are often extensive, so it’s recommended to apply 15 to 18 months before the start of classes. But as an international student, you also need to allot time for visa application and study permit processing.

To apply for an MBA in Canada, just follow the steps below:
