NTA has not published the field list of the score card. So we name only what the bulletin and the press release describe. For subjects held in many shifts, the bulletin calls the result an NTA Score. It has a Percentile Score and a Normalized Score.

Does the CUET UG scorecard show a total score?

No. The CUET UG exam results cannot be rechecked. The bulletin says there is no re-evaluation or re-checking of the result. You can raise a grievance on the result within 30 days. Delhi jurisdiction applies.

NTA Score, Normalisation and Score vs Rank in CUET UG Exam Results 2027

The CUET UG exam results use a normalised NTA Score, not a raw score and not a rank. This CUET UG normalisation uses the equi-percentile method for a subject held in more than one shift. NTA does the calculation separately for each subject.

Why does NTA normalise the CUET UG score?

Because the same subject is held in many shifts, and each shift has a different set of questions. A shift with harder questions would give lower raw marks to equally strong students. CUET UG normalisation removes that gap.

Think of two halls where the same class is tested with two different papers. If one paper is harder, comparing raw marks is unfair. NTA instead compares each candidate's position inside their own shift. It then converts that position into the CUET UG normalised score.

How is the CUET UG normalised score calculated?

NTA follows three steps from Appendix VI of the 2026 bulletin. A committee set the method. A senior professor from ISI Delhi headed it, with senior professors from IIT Delhi and the University of Delhi.

  1. Percentile in each shift. Percentile P = (m / N) x 100. N is the number of candidates in the shift. m is the number of candidates whose raw score is less than or equal to yours.
  2. Line up all shifts. NTA sorts candidates across shifts by percentile. It fills any blank raw-score entries by linear interpolation.
  3. Convert to a score. The normalised score is the average of the raw scores at that percentile in all shifts.

The highest raw score in each shift maps to 100 percentile. The bulletin has its own worked example with four sessions and raw scores from -40 to 200. We do not invent another here. This is the CUET UG normalisation that decides your CUET UG normalised score.

How is the NTA Score different from my raw score?

Your raw score comes from the marking scheme. A correct answer gives +5, a wrong answer gives -1 and no answer gives 0. The maximum raw score for a subject is 250. The NTA Score is the normalised figure that follows.

So your raw total from the answer key will not match your CUET UG normalised score. The two can differ in a subject held in many shifts. Read CUET UG 2027 answer key to learn how to check your raw score.

What is the CUET UG tie-break rule?

NTA publishes no tie-break rule, because it makes no merit list. Each university sets its own rule. Delhi University breaks ties using your Class 12 percentage in the best three subjects, then four, then five. After that it uses age, and then Class 10 percentage.

The CUET UG exam results of 2026 cover more students than in 2025. A smaller share of those registered came to the exam. The table uses NTA's official figures. The percentages are our arithmetic. The CUET UG result 2025 had 241 participating universities, against 244 in 2026.

Who topped the CUET UG exam results 2026?

NTA's toppers list for the CUET UG exam results 2026 uses the aggregate NTA Score in five subjects. It is not a CUET UG result 2026 rank list. First place went to 1232.19 and second to 1230.82, both from Delhi NCT. Third was 1207.21 from Himachal Pradesh. The full top-20 list is in the official PDF.

In subject scores, one candidate got 100 percentile in four of five subjects. 22 candidates got it in three subjects, 180 in two subjects and 3,214 in one subject.

Highest NTA Scores in 2026: Chemistry 248.68, Physics 241.23, Mathematics 242.40.

These highest scores are from NTA's 23 June 2026 press release. They show that a full 250 is possible but rare.

What After CUET UG Result 2027? Next Steps

After the CUET UG exam results, you apply to each university separately. NTA only gives the score. Each university has its own portal, rules and merit list. This holds for CUET UG result 2026 counselling too.

The largest route is Delhi University's CSAS (UG), where admission is only through CUET UG and CSAS. In 2026, Phase I of CSAS opened on 26 June, three days after the result. BHU registration ran from 9 to 25 July 2026.

  1. Download and save your score card with the CUET UG exam results.
  2. Read the programme rules of each university you want.
  3. Check that your CUET UG subjects match what the programme needs.
  4. Register on each university portal before its last date.
  5. Fill your choices in order, and keep your Class 10 and 12 marks ready.

How do I read a college cutoff against my CUET UG score?

A college cutoff is a minimum allocation score set by the university. NTA sets no cutoff. Add the subject scores from your CUET UG exam results that the programme counts. Then compare the total. No CUET UG result 2026 rank list is needed for this.

Take the 2026 Delhi University example. Shri Ram College of Commerce, B.Com. (Hons.), had a Round 1 UR minimum allocation score of 924.3009. A four-subject programme has a ceiling of 1,000 (4 x 250), which is our inference. See the CUET UG 2027 cutoff page for more.

Does CUET UG result 2026 counselling run through NTA?

No. NTA runs no CUET UG result 2026 counselling. Delhi University runs CSAS. BHU, JNU, Jamia, AMU and other universities run their own admission. The NTA bulletin says admissions are handled at the level of each central university.

Read the CUET UG 2027 counselling page for the DU rounds. Read the CUET UG 2027 colleges page for the participating universities. The score is valid for admission in 2026-27 only.

CUET UG Exam Results: Next Steps FAQs

1. How long is the CUET UG score valid?

Only for the 2026-27 session. The 2026 NTA Score is valid for admission in the academic year 2026-27 only. NTA has announced no validity rule for 2027.

2. Where do I complain about a wrong CUET UG result?

Raise a grievance with NTA within 30 days. The bulletin says there is no re-evaluation or re-checking of the result.
