CUET UG Fees 2026

₹1,800 is what a General category student paid in the CUET UG exam fees for five subjects in 2026. The fee has two parts. One is a base fee for up to three subjects. The other is a smaller fee for each additional subject. NTA has not announced the CUET UG exam fees 2027. Every amount on this page comes from the 2026 Information Bulletin.

2026-10-20

NTA has released no CUET UG 2027 bulletin as of 20 October 2026. The CUET UG exam fees 2027 will come only in that bulletin. The table below is the 2026 table, which matched the CUET UG exam fees 2025 table. Use it to plan your budget, and recheck later.

CUET UG Application Fee 2027 Category-Wise: Highlights

The CUET UG application fee depends on two things only: your category and the number of subjects. The CUET UG exam fees 2026 are in the table below. They come from the CUET UG 2026 Information Bulletin and the 2026 FAQs.

CategoryUp to 3 subjectsEach additional subject
General (UR)₹1,000₹400
OBC-NCL and EWS₹900₹375
SC, ST, PwD/PwBD and Third gender₹800₹350
Centres outside India₹4,500₹1,800

Students also search for this payment by other names. Some call it the CUET UG exam form fees. Others say CUET UG exam registration fees or CUET UG entrance exam fees. All four names mean one payment, which is the application fee paid to NTA. It is category-wise, and the CUET UG exam fees for general category candidates are in the first row.

The base fee covers up to three subjects. Choosing one, two or three subjects costs the same base amount. From the fourth subject onwards, you pay the extra-subject amount for each one.

A student can choose up to five subjects: languages, domain subjects and the General Aptitude Test. The General Aptitude Test counts as one subject for the fee. NTA's 10 May 2026 press briefing gave the average as 4.31 subjects per candidate. So the extra-subject amount matters for most students.

How much is the CUET UG exam fees for general category?

The CUET UG exam fees for general category candidates were ₹1,000 for up to three subjects in 2026. Each extra subject cost ₹400.

Take a made-up General category student named Riya. She picks English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and the General Aptitude Test. That is five subjects. The base ₹1,000 covers the first three. The remaining two subjects cost 2 x ₹400 = ₹800. Her CUET UG exam fees for general category come to ₹1,800.

What is the CUET UG exam fees for OBC candidates?

The CUET UG exam fees for OBC-NCL candidates were ₹900 for up to three subjects in 2026. Each extra subject cost ₹375. The bulletin puts OBC-NCL and EWS in one row, so both pay the same.

Take a made-up OBC-NCL student named Arjun, with five subjects. He pays ₹900 + 2 x ₹375 = ₹1,650. His CUET UG exam fees for OBC are ₹150 less than the General total for the same subjects.

How is the CUET UG exam fee worked out for four or five subjects?

You add the base fee and the extra-subject fee once for each subject beyond three. The table below shows the totals for four and five subjects. These totals are arithmetic on the official table, not separate NTA figures. For example, the CUET UG exam fees for SC candidates with five subjects come to ₹1,500.

Category4 subjects5 subjects
General (UR)₹1,400₹1,800
OBC-NCL and EWS₹1,275₹1,650
SC, ST, PwD/PwBD and Third gender₹1,150₹1,500
Centres outside India₹6,300₹8,100

Before you add a subject only to reach five, check what your target university needs. Each university sets its own subject rule. The CUET UG 2027 exam pattern page lists all 37 test papers.

CUET UG Exam Fees: Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I pay separately for the General Aptitude Test?

No separate fee exists for it. The General Aptitude Test is counted as one of your subjects. It follows the same base and additional-subject rule as any other paper.

2. Is there a separate fee row for girls?

No. The 2026 fee table has no row for female candidates. A girl pays according to her category row.

3. Does the fee include GST and bank charges?

No. Processing charges and GST are extra and are charged by the bank or the payment gateway. The section on payment modes explains where these charges apply.

CUET UG 2027 Application Fee: Change from Last Cycle

The CUET UG exam fees 2025 and the CUET UG exam fees 2026 are the same. Every category paid the same base fee and the same extra-subject fee in both years. The CUET UG exam registration fees did not change either. The CUET UG exam fees for OBC stayed at ₹900. The CUET UG exam fees for SC stayed at ₹800.

Category2025 and 2026 (up to 3 / each extra)2027
General (UR)₹1,000 / ₹400Not announced
OBC-NCL and EWS₹900 / ₹375Not announced
SC, ST, PwD/PwBD and Third gender₹800 / ₹350Not announced
Centres outside India₹4,500 / ₹1,800Not announced

The CUET UG exam fees 2025 come from the CUET UG 2025 Information Bulletin. The CUET UG exam fees 2026 come from the 2026 bulletin. Both are NTA documents.

A parent comparing years can use one rule. The two tables match line by line, including ₹4,500 for centres outside India. The fee is category-wise in both years.

Will the CUET UG exam fees 2027 increase?

NTA has not said so. The CUET UG exam fees 2027 will be known only when NTA publishes the 2027 Information Bulletin. Until then, any 2027 amount you see elsewhere is a guess.

The fee stayed the same for two years. That is a fact about the past, and it does not promise the same fee for 2027. NTA's exam calendar notice of 16 September 2026 lists 14 exams from December 2026 to March 2027. It does not include CUET UG. So plan with the 2026 table, and keep a small margin for any change.

When will NTA announce the CUET UG 2027 fee?

NTA has given no date for the CUET UG exam registration fees or the form. In both earlier cycles, the fee came in the Information Bulletin along with the application dates.

The CUET UG exam fees 2025 were published when applications opened on 1 March 2025. The CUET UG exam fees 2026 came in the bulletin of 3 January 2026. Applications ran from 3 to 30 January. Based on this pattern, the 2027 bulletin is expected between January and March 2027. This is an expectation, not an official date.

CUET UG 2027 Application Fee for General, EWS/OBC-NCL and Other Candidates

General, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates pay the higher two Indian rows of the table. The CUET UG exam fees for general category are ₹1,000 for up to three subjects. The CUET UG exam fees for OBC-NCL and EWS are ₹900.

The gap between the two category-wise rows is small. It is ₹100 on the base fee and ₹25 on each additional subject. For five subjects, a General student pays ₹1,800 and an OBC-NCL or EWS student pays ₹1,650.

Up to 3 subjects: ₹1,000. Each additional subject: ₹400. Five subjects: ₹1,800.

What is the CUET UG exam fees for EWS candidates?

EWS candidates paid ₹900 for up to three subjects in 2026, and ₹375 for each extra subject. EWS shares its row with OBC-NCL in the official table.

Choose your category in the form with care. Universities later ask for category certificates, such as SC, ST, OBC-NCL and EWS, during their own admission process. The Delhi University portal lists these under its CSAS documents.

Which candidates pay the centres outside India fee?

Candidates who take the test at a centre outside India pay ₹4,500 for up to three subjects. Each extra subject costs ₹1,800.

NTA had 15 cities outside India in 2026, as per Appendix III of the bulletin. Examples are Dubai, Singapore, Kathmandu and Washington DC. Candidates in India choose up to four cities within the state of their present or permanent address. Read the CUET UG 2027 registration page before you choose.

CUET UG 2027 Application Fee for SC, ST and PwD/PwBD Candidates

The CUET UG exam fees for SC candidates are the lowest row in the 2026 fee table. The same row applies to ST, PwD/PwBD and Third gender candidates. The 2026 fee was ₹800 for up to three subjects and ₹350 for each extra subject.

The table has no fee lower than ₹800. All four groups share one row. An SC student with five subjects pays ₹800 + 2 x ₹350 = ₹1,500. The same row applied in the CUET UG exam fees 2025.

What is the CUET UG exam fees for SC and ST candidates?

The CUET UG exam fees for SC candidates were ₹800 for up to three subjects in 2026. Each extra subject cost ₹350. The CUET UG exam fees for ST are the same, since both groups sit in the same row.

With four subjects, the total is ₹800 + ₹350 = ₹1,150. With five subjects, it is ₹1,500.

Do PwD and PwBD candidates pay a lower CUET UG fee?

PwD and PwBD candidates pay the same ₹800 row as the CUET UG exam fees for SC and ST. The row also covers Third gender candidates. The CUET UG exam form fees carry no extra charge for disability.

A candidate claiming disability status uploads the disability or UDID certificate as a PDF of 50 KB to 300 KB. For PwBD candidates who are eligible for a scribe, NTA gives compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour. That means 80 minutes for a 60-minute paper. Read the CUET UG 2027 exam pattern page for the paper format.

CSAS Application Fee and Other Fees After CUET UG

NTA charges no counselling fee, because NTA runs no counselling for CUET UG. The CUET UG entrance exam fees go to NTA. Each university runs its own admission process and sets its own fees after the result.

The largest route is the Delhi University CSAS (UG), the Common Seat Allocation System. The amounts below are the CSAS 2026 fees, as per the DU CSAS (UG) 2026 rules. DU has not announced CSAS 2027.

CSAS 2026 feeAmountWho pays
CSAS application fee₹250UR, OBC-NCL, EWS
CSAS application fee₹100SC, ST, PwBD
Extra for ECA or sports quota₹100 per quotaCandidates applying under that quota
Extra for B.F.A., B.A. (Hons.) Music, B.Sc. (PE, HE&S)₹400 per programmeCandidates applying to those programmes
Mid-Entry₹1,000Candidates who missed Phase I or II
Withdrawal₹1,000Candidates who withdraw

The CSAS application fee is non-refundable. Pay it only through the link on the CSAS portal. The portal accepts Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card and UPI.

Compare this with the CUET UG exam fees for SC candidates at ₹800 and for OBC at ₹900. The CSAS fee is much smaller, at ₹100 for SC and ₹250 for OBC-NCL.

What happens to the admission fee if I withdraw from a DU college?

DU refunds 100% of the admission fee if you withdraw on or before the last date of admission. The withdrawal, processing and registration fees are excluded. In 2026 that date was 31 August 2026.

The withdrawal fee of ₹1,000 is non-refundable. A withdrawal also ends your eligibility for DU undergraduate admission in that session. DU settles refunds in about three months after closure. See the CUET UG 2027 counselling page for the full DU steps.

Does NTA charge anything to send my score to universities?

The 2026 bulletin lists no score-sending fee, no score-report fee and no rescheduling or cancellation fee. NTA sends your result to the universities itself. Fees of BHU, JNU, Jamia, AMU and other universities are not covered here, so read each university's own notice.

CUET UG Exam Fees vs College Fees: What a DU College Charges in 2026-27

The CUET UG entrance exam fees are a one-time test cost of ₹800 to ₹1,800 for candidates in India. The amount depends on category and the number of subjects. A college charges far more each year. At Hansraj College, Delhi University, the first-year undergraduate fee for 2026-27 runs from ₹32,585 to ₹63,095.

The table gives Hansraj College's first-year fee for 2026-27, as per the college's fee sheet. The amounts apply to General, SC, ST, OBC and other categories. It is one college, shown as an example.

Computer Science₹63,095UG
M.Com.₹29,671PG
M.Sc.₹28,971PG

Is the CUET UG exam fee the same as the college fee?

No. The CUET UG exam form fees are paid to NTA to take the test. NTA kept the same amounts in the CUET UG exam fees 2025 and 2026. The college fee is paid to the college after you get a seat. Passing the test gives no seat by itself.

Even if the CUET UG exam fees 2027 rise a little, the test cost stays far below college fees. Other universities have different fees, and this page has not collected them. Check the fee sheet of every college on your preference list before you fill it. The CUET UG 2027 colleges page lists the participating universities.
