MHT CET previous year question papers show you exactly how Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology are actually tested by the State CET Cell, Government of Maharashtra. The State CET Cell releases the question paper, the candidate's own response sheet and the provisional answer key for every session, through the candidate login on cetcell.mahacet.org, once that session ends. This page covers where these papers come from, how to download them, which solutions are official and which are not, and how to use past papers to prepare for MHT CET exam pattern and MHT CET syllabus.
Question paper, response sheet and provisional answer key are released through the candidate login on cetcell.mahacet.org after each session.
Use MHT CET dates to track when a session's papers and keys typically go live, and MHT CET registration for the application steps that come before any of this.
MHT CET previous year papers show the actual MCQ format, the actual difficulty level and the actual question style the State CET Cell uses, session after session. Every MHT CET question, in every session, is a single-correct-answer MCQ with four options, attempted on screen. There is no negative marking. The MHT CET exam pattern page carries the full section-wise breakup. This page focuses on the papers themselves.

MHT CET previous year papers show application-based MCQs, not simple recall questions. The State CET Cell's own MHT-CET 2026 Information Brochure states the difficulty for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is kept at par with JEE Main, and Biology at par with NEET, with questions mainly application based (State CET Cell, MHT-CET 2026 Information Brochure, cetcell.mahacet.org). A student who has only solved textbook-style questions is usually surprised by this on the first read of a real MHT CET paper.
Four to six full sessions, across at least two different exam years, gives a realistic spread of difficulty. MHT CET runs many sessions across many days in every cycle, not one fixed paper, so no single session's paper represents the whole exam on its own. Practising only one year's papers risks missing a harder or easier session's pattern entirely.

You download your MHT CET question paper PDF by logging into cetcell.mahacet.org with your application number and password, after your session ends. This is the only download route the State CET Cell itself operates, and it is tied to your own attempt, not a general public archive.
Log in on cetcell.mahacet.org with your application number and password, then open the link for your question paper, response sheet and provisional answer key. The steps are the same every session:
This process is confirmed live for the MHT CET 2026 cycle by independent press coverage of every release this year, including the PCM group's provisional key (Times of India, 21 May 2026; News18, 20 May 2026) and the PCB group's final key (Times of India, 22 May 2026).
No, the State CET Cell does not publish a public, non-login archive of full MHT CET question papers on cetcell.mahacet.org. Every press report on the 2024, 2025 and 2026 cycles describes the same login-gated route: your own question paper, response sheet and answer key, released together after your session, under your own credentials. This matches what the MHT CET overview page already notes: the exact download path shifts cycle to cycle, and only the candidate's own login reliably carries it.
What could not be confirmed
A standing public download page with every past MHT CET question paper, hosted directly on cetcell.mahacet.org with no login, could not be verified as live at the time of writing. Treat any such direct PDF link on a third-party site as unofficial until you can cross-check it against your own response sheet or the current official notice.
The State CET Cell publishes an answer key, not a worked solution. The key gives the correct option for each question. It does not explain the method or the working. This is different from some other entrance exams, where the conducting body itself sometimes issues detailed model solutions.
No, the State CET Cell releases only the correct-option answer key alongside your question paper and response sheet. Nothing in the MHT-CET 2026 Information Brochure or in the State CET Cell's release pattern for 2024, 2025 or 2026 describes a separate, official worked-solution document. What you get through your login is the question paper, your recorded responses and the correct answers, so you can calculate your own score.
Detailed, explained solutions to MHT CET previous year papers come from private coaching platforms and exam-prep portals, not the State CET Cell. These third-party solutions can help you understand a method you got wrong, but they are not official, and a wrong explanation on one of these sites will not be corrected by the State CET Cell. Always check your final score against your own official response sheet and the State CET Cell's answer key, not against a third-party solution PDF alone.

MHT CET 2026 is the latest conducted cycle, run by the State CET Cell in two attempts through the year. The First Attempt ran in April 2026 and the Second Attempt ran in May 2026, for both the PCM and PCB groups, as the State CET Cell's own result notices label them (cetcell.mahacet.org).
The MHT CET 2026 provisional PCM answer key went live around 20 May 2026, and the PCB group's revised final key, updated for two questions after objection review, followed on 22 May 2026. These release dates are confirmed by Times of India's coverage on both dates and by News18's report of the objection deadline of 22 May 2026 for the PCM key. Candidates could raise an objection to any answer for a fee of Rs 1,000 per question, through the same candidate login (News18; Economic Times, on the 2025 cycle's identical fee structure).
The State CET Cell declared the MHT CET 2026 PCB Group First Attempt result on 9 June 2026, the PCM Group First Attempt result on 16 June 2026, and the PCB Group Second Attempt result on 18 June 2026, each with the scorecard available in the candidate's own login (cetcell.mahacet.org official notices). These are the most recently verified session results as of this writing.

MHT CET does not run one common paper for every candidate. It runs many separate sessions across many days, each with its own question paper, because the exam is held as a computer-based test in shifts. In its 2026 First Attempt alone, the PCM group ran across 16 separate sessions and the PCB group across 11 sessions, spread over multiple days and two shifts a day.
MHT CET runs multiple sessions because it tests lakhs of candidates over several weeks on a computer-based format, and no single test centre or single day can seat everyone at once. Each session gets its own question paper, drawn from the same syllabus and the same difficulty band.
No single session is guaranteed to match another session exactly in difficulty, which is why the State CET Cell normalises raw scores into a percentile before declaring results. The State CET Cell's own Document on Normalization explains that a percentile score is not the same as a percentage of marks, precisely because papers vary session to session (State CET Cell, MHT-CET 2026 Document on Normalization, cetcell.mahacet.org). This is also why practising more than one session's paper matters more for MHT CET than it does for a single-shift exam.
The State CET Cell's own free offering for practice is a mock test, not a labelled "sample paper." It runs as a timed, computer-based simulation on the official portal, matching the real exam's screen format.
The State CET Cell does not publish a document called a "sample paper." What it publishes is a free official mock test, accessible on cetcell.mahacet.org, built to the same computer-based format and subject split as the real exam. This mock test is the closest official equivalent to a sample paper, and it needs no separate purchase.
The official mock test simulates the real screen, timer and subject-switch behaviour of MHT CET; a third-party sample paper is a PDF of practice questions written by a coaching platform, not by the State CET Cell. Use the official mock test to get used to the on-screen interface and the auto-submit behaviour between blocks. Use third-party sample papers only for extra topic-wise practice, never as a stand-in for the interface itself, since that interface is what actually catches candidates out on exam day.
Sample papers are not official
Any PDF labelled an 'MHT CET sample paper' with full worked solutions is a third-party product. The State CET Cell's own free practice tool is the mock test on cetcell.mahacet.org, not a downloadable sample paper.
Solving previous year papers tells you things a syllabus list cannot. Four benefits matter most for MHT CET specifically.
A generic mock test is not built to MHT CET's own 90-plus-90-minute, two-block structure, so it will not show you whether you can finish Physics and Chemistry inside 90 minutes with Mathematics still to come. A real past MHT CET paper, solved under the actual session timing, is the only practice that tests this specific pressure honestly.
Solve a past MHT CET paper the way the real exam is actually structured: two separate 90-minute blocks, not one continuous three-hour paper. The State CET Cell's MHT-CET 2026 Information Brochure states this directly: for the PCM group, Physics and Chemistry are enabled first for 90 minutes and auto-submitted, after which Mathematics opens for its own 90 minutes. The PCB group follows the same pattern with Biology in place of Mathematics (State CET Cell, MHT-CET 2026 Information Brochure, cetcell.mahacet.org).
Time the Physics-Chemistry block and the Mathematics or Biology block separately, exactly 90 minutes each, with no carryover between them. Once you decide time is up on the first block, stop, even if you have not attempted every question, because that is exactly what happens on the real exam screen. This is the single biggest gap between MHT CET preparation and preparation for an exam with one combined timer.
You cannot choose. The State CET Cell's own format opens Physics and Chemistry first, then auto-submits that block before Mathematics or Biology becomes visible at all. Practising in this exact order, every time, is what makes your mock timing meaningful. A candidate who is naturally strong in Mathematics but slow in Physics still has to spend the first 90 minutes on Physics and Chemistry, so past-paper practice is where that adjustment gets made, not on exam day.
Score that block against the State CET Cell's answer key for the matching session, and log how many questions you left unattempted, before moving to the next block. Because there is no negative marking, an unattempted question in MHT CET is a pure loss with no corresponding safety benefit, so tracking unattempted counts separately from wrong-answer counts tells you whether your problem is speed or accuracy. Once you have this pattern from several sessions, the MHT CET exam pattern page and the MHT CET syllabus page help you decide which topics to prioritise for the time you have left.
Check the MHT CET cutoff page once your result is out, and browse colleges accepting MHT CET to see where your percentile stands. For structured preparation material beyond past papers, see MHT CET preparation books, and check the MHT CET admit card page before your next attempt.

No, MHT CET has never had negative marking, on any past paper or the 2026 cycle. Incorrect and unattempted answers both score zero. Only correct answers earn marks, 1 each for Physics and Chemistry and 2 each for Mathematics in the PCM group. Data Sources: State CET Cell, MHT-CET 2026 Information Brochure (cetcell.mahacet.org).
No, MHT CET runs a different question paper for nearly every session, since the exam is held across many days and shifts. The 2026 First Attempt alone ran the PCM paper across 16 sessions and the PCB paper across 11 sessions. Data Sources: State CET Cell exam schedule (cetcell.mahacet.org).
