JEE Advanced Question Paper 2027: Download Previous Year Papers

jeeadv.ac.in is the only trustworthy source for a JEE Advanced question paper's actual text.

Every year runs two compulsory papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, three hours each. Every candidate attempts both papers, on one exam day, in two sessions. Both papers mix Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together. They do not appear as separate subject papers.

Section counts, question counts and marks change most years. JEE Advanced 2025 and 2026 both totalled 360 marks across the two papers, but 2025's Paper 2 ran only three sections per subject while 2026's Paper 2 ran four. The total stayed the same, but the paper's shape changed.

These year-to-year swings matter more than any single number. Keep that in mind while you build your JEE Advanced 2027 study plan.

JEE Advanced 2027's own paper will join this same archive only after the exam is held.

jeeadv.ac.in gives you the question paper and the answer key. The answer key gives the correct option or the correct numerical value. It does not give you the worked steps.

Full, worked solutions come from coaching platforms, not from IIT Roorkee or any past organizing institute. Treat every third-party solution as a lead, not a fact. Check its final answer against the official answer key before you trust it.

This discipline will matter even more once JEE Advanced 2027 papers start circulating next year. Both official and unofficial copies will appear.

JEE Advanced 2026 is the most recent year with a complete, official answer key. IIT Roorkee ran the entire cycle on schedule and recorded every step of it.

A complete, question-by-question solution of the real 2026 papers with a difficulty call on each, a genuine stand-in until 2027's paper exists.

JEE Advanced does not run multiple shifts across multiple days, the way JEE Main does. It runs one exam day, with two sessions. The exam holds Paper 1 in the morning and Paper 2 in the afternoon. Every registered candidate attempts the same two papers.

This single-day design is also why JEE Advanced never uses a percentile. JEE Main needs percentile scoring because it normalises marks across many sessions with different question sets. JEE Advanced has one morning paper, one afternoon paper and one rank list, built on raw marks.

JEE Advanced 2027 will follow this same two-paper, one-day shape. Confirm the exact dates only after IIT Delhi, or whichever institute JAB finally names, publishes them.

JEE Advanced has no separate "sample paper." No organizing IIT has ever released a standalone practice set.

The real previous year question papers above are the only genuine practice material. The organizing IIT also puts up an official mock test on jeeadv.ac.in close to exam day. IIT Roorkee released the 2026 mock test in this pattern. Expect IIT Delhi, or whichever institute runs JEE Advanced 2027, to do the same.

That mock test checks your comfort with the exam interface. If you see a coaching website's "JEE Advanced 2027 sample paper," it is that company's own practice set, not an official release.

Previous year papers show you the real exam.

• Real difficulty, not assumed difficulty. A coaching mock can guess wrong about how hard a topic gets. A real JEE Advanced paper cannot.
• Real timing pressure. The real exam gives you three hours per paper, two papers, in one day. You only learn to manage that pressure by practicing under real time limits.
• Real question variety. The exam uses formats like single correct, multiple correct, numerical value and matching list. These formats keep showing up, in different mixes each year.
• A real check on the current syllabus. Solve a paper. Then match its topics against the confirmed JEE Advanced 2027 Syllabus. A few topics do drop or shift between years.
