The MHT CET 2026 admit card was the entry ticket to the exam hall, issued by the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Government of Maharashtra. Candidates could only get it through their own login on cetcell.mahacet.org, and it never arrived by post or email.
This page covers the release pattern, the download steps, what the hall ticket showed, and what to carry on exam day. It is based on MHT CET 2026, the most recently completed cycle, since MHT CET 2027 has not been notified yet. This page will update once the CET Cell releases that schedule.
Before the admit card stage, most candidates had already checked the MHT CET exam pattern and the MHT CET syllabus. They had also completed MHT CET registration. After the admit card comes the MHT CET question paper stage. The MHT CET answer key and the MHT CET result follow next.

There was no single MHT CET 2026 admit card release date for every candidate. The CET Cell released it roughly three to four days before each candidate's own exam date. PCM alone ran across 16 separate sessions. PCB ran across 11.
MHT CET spreads across many sessions inside one exam window. It is not a single-day exam. PCM candidates sat the test on any one of 16 different session days, between 11โ20 April and 12โ21 May 2026 (excluding 16 and 17 May, after the CET Cell extended the second-attempt window from an initial 12-16 May schedule). PCB candidates sat it on any one of 11 session days, between 21โ26 April and 10โ11 May 2026. A candidate in an early session got the hall ticket sooner than one in a later session inside the same window. JEE Main's admit card works the same way, varying by shift rather than by one fixed date, since it too runs multiple sessions inside one notified window.
The CET Cell issued its first public notice on 17 March 2026. That notice released the exam city intimation slip. It told each candidate the city allotted for the test. The final hall ticket, with the exact centre, date and shift, came later.
17 March 2026
Exam city intimation slip
First notice for the April attempt (Session 1), covering both PCM and PCB groups. This told candidates their allotted exam city, before the centre and date were confirmed.
7 April 2026
PCM final admit card, April attempt
Login opened for PCM candidates sitting the exam between 11 and 20 April 2026.
17 April 2026
PCB final admit card, April attempt
Login opened for PCB candidates sitting the exam between 21 and 26 April 2026.
4โ5 May 2026
Exam city intimation slip, May attempt
Allotted city released for candidates opting for the second attempt.
6 May 2026
PCB final admit card, May attempt
Login opened for PCB candidates sitting the exam on 10 or 11 May 2026.
8 May 2026
PCM final admit card, May attempt
Login opened for PCM candidates sitting the exam between 12 and 21 May 2026 (excluding 16 and 17 May), after the CET Cell extended the window from an initial 12-16 May schedule.
Check your own admit card, not the general release date
The dates above mark when the download link opened for each group and attempt. Your own admit card could show any exam date inside that session window. Log in a day after the link opens and try again if it does not appear yet. The CET Cell activates admit cards in batches, not all at once.
A PCM candidate sitting the exam on 20 April did not necessarily get the same download date as one sitting it on 11 April. Both belonged to the same session window, but their exact dates still differed. Check the MHT CET 2026 dates page for the full stage-wise calendar. Log in to the candidate portal directly, rather than wait for a news report of "the" release date.
Candidates downloaded the MHT CET 2026 admit card from the candidate portal on cetcell.mahacet.org. Login needed the Application Number and Password. No admit card was sent by post, courier or email, under any circumstances.
You need your MHT CET 2026 Application Number and Password. These are the same credentials created at registration. The official Information Brochure tells candidates to keep this Application Number, Login ID and Password safe. It also says never to share the password with anyone else.
Use the Forgot Password or Reset Password using OTP option on the candidate login page. Both link to your registered mobile number or email ID. The application number itself was sent in the registration confirmation email. Check that mail first, before contacting the helpdesk.
No, only a printed copy was accepted. The MHT CET 2026 Information Brochure states plainly that candidates must bring a printout of the admit card. No colour photocopy or soft copy was entertained for the photo ID proof carried alongside it, either.
Wait and retry. The CET Cell activated admit cards in batches, not for every candidate at once. If it still does not appear a day or two after the announced date, contact the helpdesk with your application number. Do not assume the card was never issued.
The only genuine download link is the candidate login on the CET Cell's own website. Third-party sites cannot issue or host a valid hall ticket. It is generated against your specific application record.
Bookmark this page during an active cycle. The exact login link changes position on the homepage between the PCM and PCB windows. A search result showing "to be notified later" against the admit card row simply means the CET Cell has not opened that session's window yet. Check the MHT CET 2026 dates page instead of an unofficial mirror.
The MHT CET 2026 admit card carried the candidate's identity, exam logistics and conduct instructions. It was generated fresh for each session, on one page.
Check your name, photograph, subject group and exam date first. These four decide whether you sit the right paper at the right centre. A subject group error is the most serious of the four. PCM and PCB use different question papers, and this is hard to fix on exam day itself.
Two documents were compulsory at every MHT CET 2026 centre: the printed admit card and one original, valid photo ID. Neither could be substituted with a screenshot or a photocopy.
Only original photo ID was accepted
The MHT CET 2026 Information Brochure states that no colour photocopy, photocopy or soft copy is allowed for photo ID proof. A ration card and a learner's driving licence are both explicitly listed as invalid.
Printed MHT CET 2026 admit card and one original valid photo ID from the list above. Carry both even if you are certain your identity is not in question.
Carry the PwD certificate and the scribe permission letter, if extra time or a scribe facility was approved at registration, along with the standard documents.
Category proof is not usually asked for at the exam centre itself, since it is checked later at the counselling stage. Carry it only if your admit card or centre notice specifically instructs you to.
The exam centre matched your identity against three things together. These were the admit card, the attendance list, and the original document you carried. If identity was in doubt on any one, CET Cell rules allowed the centre to stop a candidate from appearing.
MHT CET 2026 was a Computer-Based Test, and the exam-day rules were built around a testing lab, not a paper hall. No calculator was allowed, and no virtual calculator was provided on screen either.
Reach the centre at least one hour before the reporting time on your admit card. Entry stopped completely at the gate-closing time shown on the card. A candidate arriving after that time was not allowed inside, whatever the reason.
No, calculators were not allowed for MHT CET 2026, in any form. This includes a basic calculator, a scientific calculator, and any calculator function built into a digital watch. The CBT screen did not offer an on-screen calculator either.
| Items to carry | Items prohibited |
|---|---|
| Printed admit card and original photo ID | Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth or Bluetooth-enabled devices |
| One transparent ballpoint pen | Calculators of any kind, including watch-integrated ones |
| PwD or scribe documents, if applicable | Books, notes or any written material not part of the admit card |
| A transparent water bottle | Wallets, handbags or non-transparent pouches |
| โ | Food items, except where a medical condition was declared in advance |
| โ | Jewellery, metallic accessories and any communication device |
Report it to the invigilator in your exam block, who escalates it to the centre's designated Venue Officer, the on-spot authority the CET Cell appoints at every centre. The Venue Officer examines a grievance, such as lost time from an administrative error, and decides on it before the session ends.
Candidates were also expected to follow a simple, non-flashy dress code. Heavy jewellery or metal accessories could trigger the frisking check, so it is safer to avoid them. Read every on-screen instruction fully before starting the paper, since the CBT interface differs slightly from a paper exam.
Most MHT CET 2026 admit card problems fell into a handful of repeat categories. The right fix for each depended on whether the error could still be edited online.
| Issue | What to do |
|---|---|
| Wrong photograph or signature | Do not edit the printed admit card yourself. Contact the CET Cell helpdesk immediately with your application number. If the form correction window is still open, re-upload the correct photo there instead. |
| Wrong name or date of birth | Same as above: raise it through the candidate Ticketing System or helpline before the exam date, since a mismatch with your ID proof can affect entry. |
| Wrong exam centre or city | Centre allotment cannot be self-edited on the admit card. Contact the helpdesk right away. A change close to the exam date is not guaranteed, so report it as soon as the card is downloaded. |
| Wrong subject group (PCM/PCB) | Treat this as urgent. The group decides which question paper you receive, and it is very difficult to correct once the exam window has started. |
| Admit card not visible after login | Recheck your application number and password, and retry after a day, since cards release in batches within each session window, not all at once. |
| Forgotten application number or password | Use the Forgot Password or Reset Password using OTP option on the candidate login page, linked to your registered mobile number or email. |
| QR code, barcode or PDF not displaying correctly | Re-download the admit card, ideally on a desktop or laptop browser, and reprint. Try a different browser if the file still looks incomplete. |
Contact the State CET Cell's own helpdesk, not a college or a coaching centre. The CET Cell's official contact page lists the CET (Examination) helpline as 07969134401 and 07969134402. It also gives a toll-free number, 18002090191, and email support through the candidate Ticketing System (Data Sources: State CET Cell, Maharashtra, cetcell.mahacet.org/contact).
No, the CET Cell's own Facilitation and Scrutiny Centres serve a different purpose. They exist for the separate CAP admission-form process, not for admit card corrections. Any admit card issue, from a wrong photo to a wrong subject group, goes through the central helpline, email or the Ticketing System inside your candidate login, never through a walk-in centre.
Report it to the invigilator. A genuine administrative-error grievance can be escalated to the Venue Officer during the exam session. For anything you can foresee, such as a wrong photo or wrong group, raise it with the CET Cell well before exam day instead. A Venue Officer resolves conduct issues on the day, not identity mismatches.
An admit card error you never got corrected can still matter later. Your MHT CET result and MHT CET cutoff stage both check centre and identity records again at counselling. Fix a discrepancy at the admit card stage, rather than carry it forward.
Answers to what readers ask most often.
No, the MHT CET 2026 admit card was not released on one common date for every candidate. The CET Cell activated it group-wise and attempt-wise, roughly three to four days before each candidate's own exam date, since PCM ran 16 sessions and PCB ran 11 across the April and May 2026 attempts. Data Sources: State CET Cell, Maharashtra, cetcell.mahacet.org.
You download it by logging in to the candidate portal on cetcell.mahacet.org with your Application Number and Password, then opening Download Admit Card from the dashboard. No admit card is sent by post or email. Data Sources: MHT CET 2026 Information Brochure, State CET Cell.
You need a printed A4 copy of the admit card and one original photo ID, such as Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Driving Licence or Voter ID. A ration card and a learner's driving licence are not accepted. Data Sources: MHT CET 2026 Information Brochure, State CET Cell.
No, calculators of any kind are not allowed in the MHT CET exam, including watch-integrated ones, and the computer-based test screen does not provide a virtual calculator either. Candidates should plan to do all calculations by hand on the rough sheet provided at the centre.
