Bachelor of Arts - BA - Hons in Fashion Design University of South Wales

The BA (Hons) Fashion Design program at the University of South Wales provides students with an opportunity to develop as a creative individual, enhance their unique potential skills and acquire the required knowledge and understanding relating to the fashion industry. The program equips students with the necessary skills, including sketching, developing mood boards, draping and pattern making, fabric selection, and more. The course focuses on building commercial awareness, understanding of the international fashion market, and essential entrepreneurial and project management skills. Core subjects include design concepts, tailoring strategies, contemporary issues in fashion, and marketing strategies in the fashion world. Students also gain industry experience through projects with external partners and businesses. The program aims to ensure students learn and develop their abilities to merge creativity and innovative design with market awareness in order to produce and present design solutions for complex fashion briefs. It emphasizes developing a personal design signature, accompanied by a professional portfolio of work to showcase to potential employers.
