This is a two-year postgraduate degree program designed to provide basic and applied knowledge with skills in the production of fruit crops including in-depth knowledge of fruit biology, reproduction biology, fruit breeding, biotechnology, biodiversity conservation, pre-post-harvest management, organic production, and GAP in fruit cultivation. This program helps to familiarize yourself with horticulture as a major and learn biology and chemistry that serves as a base for all future coursework. A Horticulture Technician provides product and service expertise with landscape design and construction including grounds maintenance. The landscape technician is trained to operate and run greenhouses and manage retail garden centers including the care of interior plants in commercial complexes. This program will appeal to those with a passion for design, growing, and caring for plants, as well as a strong interest in nature and environmental issues. You’ll learn to design and install water features, trees, shrubs, and outdoor kitchens and living areas. Our strong emphasis on hands-on experience gives you plenty of opportunities to hone your skills and prepare you for a career in landscape design, grounds management, estate management, and more.
