The Bachelor of Science degree in Crop and Soil Sciences with Producion option offers three concentrations for students to choose from: agronomic sciences, turfgrass management, and advanced studies. Agronomists improve crop production in sustainable systems all over the world while protecting soil and water resources. Students combine fundamental disciplines in physical science, biological science, and environmental science with crop production and business operations, and also gain hands-on experience through state-of-the-art labs on campus. Research opportunities for students include projects in breeding plants for food, oil. and other uses, the science behind soil health, small farm operations, and more, while your required internship will introduce you to the different career options available to you once you graduate.
