Rutgers University Camden of United States (USA)

Rutgers University-Camden is one of three regional campuses of Rutgers University, New Jersey's public research university. It is located in Camden, New Jersey, United States. The other two campuses of Rutgers University are located in New Brunswick and Newark.Rutgers-Camden began as an amalgam of two institutions: the College of South Jersey and the South Jersey Law School. In 1950, the two schools became the Camden campus when they merged with Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The campus offered 34 undergraduate majors and 28 graduate programs, including a professional degree in business, law degrees, and doctoral programs in physical sciences and humanities. The student body consisted of about 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The campus has also been known for its commitment to community engagement and public service. Rutgers-Camden's School of Law is particularly notable. It was the first law school in New Jersey and is widely respected. The campus is also home to the Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs, the Center for Urban Research and Education (CURE), and the Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs.
