EMAT Exam Fees 2026

₹2,000 is the application fee for IIM Kozhikode's MBA for Working Executives. IIMK publishes no separate EMAT fee, so the EMAT exam fees you pay at the start are this one amount. After selection, the programme fee for the 2026-28 batch is ₹16,75,000, paid in seven instalments. IIMK has announced no EMAT exam fees 2027.

Fee figures are from the 2026-28 batch

2026-10-20

All IIMK amounts on this page are from the admission policy and admission page of the 2026-28 batch (EPGP-19). IIMK has not announced a 2027 fee. IIM Kashipur runs a different EMAT with its own fee structure.

IIMK admission policy, EPGP-19 batch (PDF)

EMAT means Executive Management Aptitude Test. IIM Kozhikode (IIMK) uses it to screen working professionals for its executive MBA, earlier called EPGP. The IIM Kozhikode EMAT is not a national exam, and it has no category-wise fee table. This page separates what you pay to apply from what you pay after you get an offer. See the EMAT registration 2027 page for the application steps.

Fees

EMAT exam fees at IIM Kozhikode are one application fee now and a programme fee after selection.

EMAT Exam Fees 2027: Application Fee and Programme Fee Highlights

The IIM Kozhikode EMAT exam fees are ₹2,000 for every applicant, as far as IIMK has published. The table lists the main amounts for the 2026-28 batch.

Payment modesNot stated for IL-KozhikodeCheck the portal
Extra charges₹12,000Welfare fund ₹2,000 and alumni fee ₹10,000

IIMK shows no category-wise EMAT exam fees. The EMAT exam fees 2027 are not announced. Plan for the 2026-28 amounts and expect IIMK to revise them. That expectation is ours, not an IIMK statement.

How much is the EMAT exam fee?

The EMAT exam fees come to ₹2,000, which is the application fee. IIMK states that a non-refundable amount of ₹2,000 is required when you apply. There is no extra IIMK EMAT fee on top of it.

Is there a separate fee to take the EMAT test?

No. IIMK lists no fee for the test alone. Late fees, rescheduling fees and cancellation fees for EMAT are not published either.

EMAT 2027 Application Fee: Change from Last Cycle

IIMK has announced no EMAT exam fees 2027, so a change from last cycle cannot be confirmed. The IIM Kozhikode EMAT application fee for 2026-28 is ₹2,000. An older IIMK Kochi brochure for batch 11 (August 2023) also shows ₹2,000, so the EMAT exam fees look unchanged. That comparison is ours, because the two programmes are separate.

The programme fee has changed more. The IIMK Kochi brochure of 2023 showed ₹12,00,000. The current Kochi page shows ₹16,00,000 for the Evening cohort and ₹13,50,000 for the Weekend cohort. The brochure is old, and the web page governs.

Will the EMAT exam fees increase in 2027?

IIMK has not said whether the EMAT exam fees will increase. It has reserved the right to modify the admission process, cut-off scores and related policies at its discretion. Check the IIMK admission page once the 2027 batch opens. The EMAT dates 2027 page will show when that happens.

EMAT 2027 Application Fee for General, EWS/OBC-NCL and Other Categories

For the IIM Kozhikode EMAT, IIMK lists one amount of ₹2,000 for EMAT exam fees and no category-wise fee. The admission policy and the FAQ on the admission page state the same single amount. Whether you are General, EWS or OBC-NCL, you pay the same non-refundable fee. IIMK shows no category-wise payment difference. Whichever category you claim, the pages we read show no change in EMAT exam fees.

Category matters for other parts of the process, but not for the fee. The category-wise cut-offs are on the cutoff page. Your category sets the minimum marks in your degree and the EMAT cut-off. The EMAT cutoff page lists those percentages. Your category cannot be changed after you submit the form.

EMAT 2027 Fee for SC, ST and PwD Candidates: Concessions

IIMK publishes no category-wise fee waiver or concession for SC, ST or PwD candidates in the pages we read. The EMAT exam fees are not category-wise in anything IIMK has published. IIMK shows no separate amount, so the EMAT exam fees remain ₹2,000 on the pages we read. The relief that IIMK does publish is outside the fee.

  • Lower cut-offs: The IIMK EMAT cut-off is 35% for General, 25% for SC and 20% for ST and PwD.
  • Extra time: PwD candidates get 20 extra minutes for every hour of the exam.
  • Scholarship: IIMK gives ₹1 lakh to the top one percentile of first-year participants of the IL-Kozhikode programme. At least one third of the awardees are women. This applies from the 2025-26 batch onwards.

IIMK also has a financial assistance page for the IL-Kozhikode programme. Candidates arrange their own education loan, and IIMK lists an SBI scholar loan scheme.

EMAT Counselling Fee: None, but a Seat Acceptance Fee Applies

IIMK holds no counselling after EMAT, so there is no counselling fee. A selected candidate pays an offer acceptance fee of ₹1,00,000 to hold the seat. The offer acceptance fee is the first large payment after EMAT. This amount is part of the first instalment. The IIMK EMAT exam fees do not include it.

How much is the offer acceptance fee and when is it due?

The offer acceptance fee is also called the confirmation fee. It is ₹1,00,000, and you pay it by the last date of your phase. For the 2026-28 batch, the last dates were 10 July, 27 August, 9 October and 30 October 2026. IIMK shows the first instalment as ₹2,65,000 in total. That is the ₹1,00,000 acceptance fee plus ₹1,65,000.

The first instalment due date depends on your phase. It is 10 October, 28 October, 10 November or 20 November 2026 for Phases I to IV. IIMK adds a Student Welfare Fund of ₹2,000 with the first instalment. It adds an Alumni Fee of ₹10,000 with the fifth instalment.

What is the IIMK Kochi campus programme fee?

IIMK Kochi lists ₹16,00,000 for the Evening cohort and ₹13,50,000 for the Weekend cohort, each in seven instalments. A refundable caution deposit of ₹10,000, an alumni membership of ₹10,000 and a student welfare fund of ₹2,000 are excluded. IIMK says admissions for 2027-2029 will commence soon, with no fee announced.

What is the IIM Kashipur Executive MBA fee?

For the 2027-29 batch, the IIM Kashipur brochure shows about ₹12 lakh over two years. Year 1 has an admission fee of ₹50,000 and a caution deposit of ₹10,000. It also has a course fee of ₹1,50,000 per term for four terms. Year 2 has a course fee of ₹1,35,000 per term for four terms. The brochure marks the fee as subject to change. We did not find an EMAT or application fee for IIM Kashipur in the brochure or on its fee page. Confirm it on the IIM Kashipur Executive MBA page before you pay.

Payment Modes & Fee Refund Policy for EMAT

IIMK has not stated the payment modes for the EMAT exam fees in the pages we read. It says you pay the ₹2,000 online at the time of application. IIMK may show the payment modes only inside the portal. An older IIMK Kochi brochure from 2023 named net banking, credit card and debit card. That is history for another programme, so do not treat it as the current rule.

Is the EMAT application fee refundable?

No. The EMAT exam fees are the application fee, and IIMK says it is "not refundable nor adjustable under any circumstances". The refund rule is different if you withdraw during admission. IIMK then refunds the amount after processing charges and other deductions. The charges follow a Government of India order dated 18 May 2007.

EMAT Exam Fees: Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I pay again to retake EMAT?

IIMK has not published a retake rule or a retake fee. The pages we read show one application fee. The EMAT attempt limit is not published either.

2. Do the EMAT exam fees apply if I have a CAT, GMAT or GRE score?

You still pay the ₹2,000 application fee. The score can replace the EMAT step, but the application is the same. The score must meet IIMK's cut-off and be not older than 3 years as on 17 May 2026.

3. Does the ₹2,000 fee guarantee an interview call?

No. The fee is non-refundable, so check your eligibility first. You must also meet the EMAT cut-off. IIMK says that meeting only the minimum score does not mean admission.

How to Pay the EMAT 2027 Application Fee

You pay the IIMK EMAT exam fees online while you complete your application on the IIMK admission portal. IIMK has not published a screen-by-screen guide for the payment. These steps follow the order of the application.

  1. Register on the IIMK admission portal with your mobile number and email OTP.
  2. Fill the application form and upload your documents.
  3. Pay the non-refundable ₹2,000 application fee online when the portal asks for it. Use one of the payment modes the portal shows.
  4. Save the payment receipt and a copy of the submitted form. This step is our advice.

The EMAT application form steps are on the registration page. If a payment fails or is charged twice, write to epgpadmission@iimk.ac.in with your registered mobile number. IIMK has published no payment grievance process, so keep your bank message as proof of your EMAT exam fees. Ask the office to confirm the payment modes if the portal shows none.

Additional Costs in the EMAT Admission Process

The IIM Kozhikode EMAT exam fees are small compared with the costs after selection. The EMAT exam fees 2027 may change, but the costs after selection are the larger part. Plan for these items beyond the programme fee.

  • Campus visits: The IL-Kozhikode programme has three in-campus modules at IIM Kozhikode. IIMK does not include travel and stay in the fee.
  • International immersion: The one-week trip to a university abroad is optional and not included in the fee.
  • Extra charges: ₹2,000 Student Welfare Fund and ₹10,000 Alumni Fee, a total of ₹12,000.
  • Education loan: Participants arrange their own.
  • Offer acceptance fee: ₹1,00,000, counted inside the first instalment.
  • Placement: IIMK states that a formal placement assistance scheme is not part of this programme.

The EMAT colleges page explains which programmes use EMAT. If your CAT, GMAT or GRE score meets the IIMK cut-off, you can skip the EMAT step. You still pay the fees above.

A student should be told clearly when a college is not the right fit.
