Master of Public Health - MPH Youngstown State University

Earning your degree while working can be difficult, but the Public Health master's program allows you to advance your education by taking courses on a schedule that best accommodates you. The Public Health master's program is part of the Consortium of Eastern Ohio Master of Public Health and offers a collaborative learning environment, drawing upon faculty from several departments at universities across the region, including Youngstown State University, the University of Akron, Cleveland State University, the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) and Ohio University. The curriculum advances your skills and confidence in practicing public health, and the program allows you to earn your credits on a flexible course schedule, including the opportunity for Saturday classes. You will take multidisciplinary and interdepartmental courses. The program is designed so that core courses are offered Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to accommodate the working professional. The Dietetics MPH Track (MPH-DFM) incorporates the 43 semester hour MPH degree coupled with 1,000 hours of Supervised Experiential Learning in Medical Nutrition Therapy, Life Cycle Nutrition, Foodservice Management and Community Wellness. The Supervised Experiential Learning begins in Year 4 of the undergraduate program and continues throughout year 6.
