Bachelor of Science - BS in Business Administration in Business Law Youngstown State University

The Williamson College of Business Administration (WCBA) at Youngstown State University (YSU) and the University of Akron (UA) School of Law offer highly qualified and motivated students the opportunity to earn both their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree and their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in six years instead of the usual seven. The 3 + 3 program saves students a full year of undergraduate study, tuition, and living expenses. Program participants will graduate law school and get out into the world a year earlier than students who follow the traditional path, increasing their long-term earning potential and giving them a head start on making a difference in their chosen field. Students interested in the 3 + 3 program through the Williamson College of Business Administration will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) through an Individualized Curriculum Program (ICP) in Business Law. The BSBA in Business Law (ICP) will consist of General Education courses, Business Tool, and Business Core courses which are to be completed at YSU in three years. Students admitted to Akron Law will then begin their first-year law school courses at the University of Akron School of Law and apply those credits toward both their BSBA and law degrees. Once a student has successfully completed the first-year law school courses at Akron, a transcript is sent to the YSU Office of Admissions. These courses are then applied to the student’s BSBA degree requirements at YSU and the degree is awarded after a final graduation audit.
