Master of Science - MS Data Science Rutgers University Camden

The MS program in Data Science will provide graduates with a strong background in statistical methodologies, data visualization, technical project management and agile practices. Graduates from the program will: Master programming languages (R/R studio and Python), as well as in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and database query languages (e.g., SQL).

Become data storytellers by learning how to assimilate and present information in a compelling manner in writing, orally, or visually, thereby allowing for the transformation of data into actionable information and insights.

Engage real-world problems through labs, as well as industry partnerships, practicums and internships with major organizations and agencies in the Philadelphia/South Jersey metropolitan corridor.

Rutgers University-Camden is one of three regional campuses of Rutgers University, New Jersey's public research university. It is located in Camden, New Jersey, United States. The other two campuses of Rutgers University are located in New Brunswick and Newark.

Rutgers-Camden began as an amalgam of two institutions: the College of South Jersey and the South Jersey Law School. In 1950, the two schools became the Camden campus when they merged with Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The campus offered 34 undergraduate majors and 28 graduate programs, including a professional degree in business, law degrees, and doctoral programs in physical sciences and humanities. The student body consisted of about 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The campus has also been known for its commitment to community engagement and public service. Rutgers-Camden's School of Law is particularly notable. It was the first law school in New Jersey and is widely respected. The campus is also home to the Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs, the Center for Urban Research and Education (CURE), and the Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs.
