Bachelor of Music - BM in Music Education Moravian University

The College currently offers two degrees for music majors: the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music. The Bachelor of Arts allows more general studies than the Bachelor of Music. The Bachelor of Arts is the preferred degree for students wishing to double major, while the Bachelor of Music degree is for students who wish for more comprehensive musical studies. This is the required degree for students wishing to earn Pennsylvania Department of Education teaching certification. The Music Department offers the following programs within the Bachelor of Music degree: music education, performance (instrumental, vocal, jazz), and composition. Our curriculum and department strive to affirm the development of the whole student-intellectually, physically, emotionally, and ethically. Moravian College, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, was established in 1742, making it one of the oldest higher education institutions in the United States. The Department of Nursing pre-licensure undergraduate programs (i.e., traditional BSN and accelerated post baccalaureate BSN) and the graduate nurse practitioner programs (i.e., adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner) are approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing (PA SBON). All nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Moravian Theological Seminary is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.
