Nursing: Rn To Bsn Millersville University

Offered in a flexible online format designed for students with busy schedules, the RN to BSN program at the Millersville University Wehrheim School of Nursing is designed for those who have obtained their associate degree in Nursing or diploma and have or are eligible for their RN license. Our program is designed to meet the needs of the evolving healthcare environment. By uniquely preparing to advocate for patients and the profession, graduates of this program lead initiatives in their work environment based on what they learned at the MU Wehrheim School of Nursing. The majority our students continue on to graduate school while others move into management, education and other advanced roles in healthcare. The Millersville University RN-BSN Program (delivered via distance education) is accredited by the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) and graduates receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. “Millersville's RN to BSN program helped expose me to various cultures and prepared me to be accepting of the differences in cultures. In turn, that has helped the transitions into different nursing opportunities in both Asia and Africa.” Guided by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Nursing Scope and Standards of Professional Practice, our curriculum engages students in the core competencies of advocacy, patient safety, environmental health, quality and safety, patient education, leadership and more. Our accelerated MSN path, allow BSN students to take courses toward their graduate degree, with simultaneously finishing the BSN. This flexible program is based on the unique needs of the adult learner and consists of nine courses, or 31 credits focused on nursing. For students entering from a community college program, the only required general education courses are statistics (unless previously taken) and Advanced Writing, a Millersville University distinctive course.
