Bachelor of Arts - BA - Hons in Accounting and Finance - Including Foundation Year University of South Wales

The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance is a full-time undergraduate program offered by the University of South Wales. It includes a foundation year that helps students strengthen their academic skills and gain knowledge, serving as a preparation for the university level study. The degree aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles of accounting and finance. The curriculum covers essential areas such as financial accounting, business law, management accounting, business and finance, international corporate reporting, auditing, taxation, and corporate finance. Students are taught through lectures, seminars, workshops, guest speakers, and case studies which ensure a practical, hands-on approach to learning. The program offers students the potential to earn exemptions from professional examinations of accountancy bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, and others. The degree also encourages students to develop employability skills through unique modules designed to improve their career prospects. Emphasis is placed on developing students' analytical skills, practicality and pragmatism, allowing them to add value to any future employer from day one. Graduates are prepared for careers in areas including accounting, banking, investment, insurance, procurement, commerce, and both financial and non-financial management roles.
