The Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) is a private Catholic university in Murcia, southeastern Spain, canonically founded in 1996 under the Apostolic Constitution Ex Corde Ecclesiae of Pope John Paul II. With over 21,000 students and around 1,000 faculty members, UCAM delivers a diverse range of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs—including numerous degrees taught in English.
Located on the historic Los Jerónimos Monastery campus, a national monument just 4 km from Murcia’s city centre, UCAM combines rich heritage architecture with modern classrooms, labs, simulation clinics, media studios, and sports facilities. The university emphasizes personalized teaching: small class sizes, personal tutors, and mandatory internships ensure each student receives tailored academic and professional guidance.
UCAM’s mission is rooted in holistic Catholic education, integrating academic rigor with ethical formation, service, volunteering, pastoral care, and evangelization alongside teaching and research. Internationalization is core: UCAM maintains exchange agreements with over 400 institutions worldwide—such as UC Berkeley, Stanford, NTU, and Bologna—and hosts students from more than 100 countries |
