This form of study is interesting for everybody who on the one hand wishes to learn the typical economics contents of an MBA programme but on the other hand is prepared to do without the extra offers of our classical MBA programmes. Therefore, for example, no specialisation options and also no training courses for the intercultural competences are planned for this form of study. Equally, there is only a limited course offer in the field of Personal Skills. Dependent on how many credit points the students’ previous degree includes, it is also theoretically possible that the MBA qualification does not provide entitlement to a follow-up doctorate. The MBA programme International Management is directed primarily at graduates of non-business degree courses who wish to augment their knowledge from their first-degree course and initial job experience with solid business and internationally orientated know-how. Equally, graduates of economics degree courses also profit from discovering models already familiar to them within a new context or even wish to refresh their knowledge which has possibly slightly faded during the course of everyday working life. What are the contents of the Fast-Track MBA Course?

The programme incorporates a total of 8 modules which are spread over three terms. In total, the programme is designed for one year. The students already attend initial preparation courses on the topic of Research Principles before studying. In addition to the introductory modules for the area of Management Principles and Organisation and Strategy, Accounting Basics are also taught in the first term. Seminars are held at the Career School between the first and second terms.

The modules Business Environment, Global Value Chain Management as well as International Human Resources Management and Change Management are on the agenda in the second term.

There are no lectures any longer during the final term which is planned for preparing the Master of Arts Thesis. In the thesis, for example, the students process a current problem in a company whilst taking scientifically sound methods and approaches into consideration – with pleasure also in close collaboration with a company. In this way, both the students and the companies profit from the results elaborated.
