IDRAC (Institut de Recherche et d'Action Commerciale) was created in Paris in 1965 by Jean TRANCART (work psychologist) and Guy FREUDET (business executive) with the central objective of offering young high school graduates operational training in commercial professions on an educational model different from traditional training models. The two innovative principles introduced during its creation, school/company alternation and personalized educational monitoring , are still the hallmarks of the school's culture, to which were added the creation of a research team in 2008 and then the academic recognition of its programs (5-year visa for the Grande Ecole Program in 2009, 3-year visa for the Bachelor in Marketing & Business in 2010, master's degree in 2016).
