Stenberg opened its flagship campus in Surrey in 2004. Conveniently located just steps from transit, its state-of-the-art facility houses classrooms and simulation labs.
In 2006, Stenberg launched its Registered Psychiatric Nursing program, the first combined delivery program of its kind in British Columbia. In April 2008, the program produced its first graduating class of 28 successful graduates. Each of these graduates sat their registration exams (in various regions around the province), and the cohort achieved a 100% passing rate.
In 2010, Stenberg opened the Early Childhood Education satellite campus in Surrey. Located within a childcare center, this off-site classroom allows ECE students the opportunity to observe theory in practice.
In 2011, Stenberg’s Cardiology Technology Diploma program expanded nationally with Alberta’s first out-of-province lab site.
In 2014, Stenberg’s flagship campus in Surrey added a new wing with four new Health Care labs. Used by its Practical Nursing, Medical Lab Assistant, Dispensing Optician, and Health Care Assistant cohorts, these rooms hold simulation dolls, healthcare equipment, and even an optical lab.
In 2016, Stenberg opened Vernon and Castlegar satellite campuses. These campuses train Health Care Assistants and allow students to complete their studies and practicums in their home communities.
