The Bachelor of Animation Production and Bachelor of International Studies at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is a dual degree program. It focuses on training students in the art of animation and offering intensive studies in a wide range of international relations topics.
In the animation component, students will learn everything related to the animation process, from the initial concept to the final product. They will learn to use cutting-edge animation tools and software, develop creative ideas, create storyboards, and produce their own animation works. They will work collectively and individually on projects that involve animation, visual effects, game design, VR and more.
The International Studies part will equip students with a strong understanding of the contemporary global system, covering various subjects such as international relations, global cultures, international security, and foreign policy, among others. It often includes a study abroad program, providing students with the opportunity to live and study in another country, gaining first-hand international experience and cultural immersion.
Graduates can expect to possess the creative and technical skills necessary for the animation industry and a comprehensive understanding of international relations. They will be prepared to work in fields that merge these disciplines, like broadcasting, film, and advertising, or even international organizations that have communication needs.
