The Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning)/Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) at RMIT University is a dual degree program designed to integrate the knowledge and skills from both the financial planning and accountancy sectors. The program aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of finance, budgeting, risk management, taxation, and auditing.
From the financial planning perspective, students learn to develop and implement financial plans and advise clients on investment, insurance, and retirement planning, wealth creation, risk management, and taxation. From the accountancy perspective, the program offers a strong grounding in core financial areas such as financial and corporate accounting, taxation, auditing and assurance.
The course structure allows students to gain real-world experience through work placements and industry projects. Graduates of this program are prepared for careers in a variety of roles in financial planning, management, accounting, auditing, and taxation. They are also equipped with sought-after transferable skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation.
