The Bachelor of Accounting and Finance at Australian Catholic University is a full-time, three-year course that provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills needed for a career in accounting, as well as finance. This program combines both accounting and finance disciplines, providing a more comprehensive understanding of how they interact in the business world.
Students will learn about various areas such as financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate finance, investment analysis, risk management, and economics. The course not only provides technical knowledge and skills, but also focuses on developing analytical, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
The program also incorporates real-world experience opportunities to give students practical exposure and professional networking. These could be internships, industry-based projects or international study opportunities. Upon graduation, students will be eligible for membership in professional organizations such as CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and the Institute of Public Accountants.
