CLAT Exam Result 2026: Date, Scorecard & How to Check

The Consortium publishes no minimum qualifying score for CLAT. The CLAT 2027 result is therefore a rank and not a pass or fail grade.

The CLAT 2026 counselling instructions invite candidates in line with the rank list and each NLU's admissions matrix. Seat allotment then follows in rounds. In the CLAT exam results, marks decide the rank, and CLAT rank calculation uses the tie-break order for equal marks.

Is there a pass mark in the CLAT exam results?

There is no pass mark in the CLAT exam results 2027, because the Consortium publishes no minimum qualifying score. Admission depends on rank and seat allotment. CLAT marks vs rank is not published as a table.

The Class 12 requirement is a separate eligibility rule and is not a score in the CLAT exam results. UG candidates need 45% in Class 12, or 40% for SC, ST and PwD candidates. PG candidates need 50% in LL.B., or 45% for SC, ST and PwD candidates. Candidates still studying in 2027 must show proof of passing at the time of admission.

• Keep the question booklet and your copy of the OMR response sheet. The CLAT 2026 booklet instructions allowed candidates to retain both.
• Watch the official CLAT website for the answer key notice. In CLAT 2026, the answer key came before the CLAT exam results.

When will the CLAT 2027 result be declared?

The CLAT exam results date 2027 is Not officially announced as of 13 October 2026.

The official FAQ page says counselling will be held "In the month of December 2026/January, 2027". Counselling invites candidates in line with the rank list, so the CLAT 2027 result has to come first.

How long did the CLAT 2026 result take after the exam?

CLAT exam results 2026 came nine days after the exam. The provisional answer key came three days after the exam. The objection window ran for two days.

The final answer key and the CLAT exam results came on the same day, 16 December 2025. That CLAT result date was four days after the objection window closed. Counselling registration opened the next day.

At what time are CLAT exam results published?

The CLAT exam results 2027 release time is Not officially announced as of 13 October 2026.

In CLAT 2026, the press release gave exact times only for the provisional answer key and the objection window. The key time was 5:00 pm on 10 December 2025. The CLAT exam results notice of 16 December 2025 said details of admission and counselling would follow at 8:00 pm. So the CLAT result date of 16 December 2025 came with no announced time.

In CLAT 2026, candidates downloaded their CLAT exam results as a scorecard by logging in to their CLAT account. The Consortium has not announced the download steps for the CLAT 2027 result. Not officially announced as of 13 October 2026.

Use the CLAT 2026 steps as a checklist until the CLAT 2027 notification arrives:

1. Open the official CLAT website of the Consortium of NLUs.
2. Log in with your registered mobile number and password.
3. Open the option for the CLAT exam results given in the notification.
4. Download the CLAT scorecard and save a copy.
5. Check every detail on it against your admit card and application form.

The login is the same account you use to download your CLAT 2027 admit card.

The CLAT 2026 result notification also named a mirror site. Use a mirror only if the notification for CLAT results 2027 names one.

The CLAT 2027 result link is not live, because the exam is on 6 December 2026. The CLAT 2026 result notification pointed candidates to the Consortium website for the download. The link for CLAT results 2027 will appear on the official CLAT website.

How can I download the scorecard of an earlier CLAT year?

The Consortium's Previous Year Score Card page lets a candidate download a CLAT scorecard for any year from 2020.

On the CLAT previous year scorecard page, select the year and enter your registered mobile number or username. Request an OTP, then enter the OTP and submit it.

For the 2019 CLAT scorecard, write to clat@consortiumofnlus.ac.in with your registered mobile number or email ID. For older years, contact the NLU that conducted that year's exam.

The official website lists no fields for the CLAT scorecard for 2027. Not officially announced as of 13 October 2026.

The CLAT 2026 result notification says only that candidates could download their "official CLAT 2026 scorecards". It does not list the fields, so the fields in CLAT results 2027 are unconfirmed. Compare every detail on your scorecard with your application form and admit card.

How do I check the marks on my CLAT scorecard?

Your CLAT scorecard marks equal the right answers minus one quarter mark for each wrong answer. The CLAT 2026 question booklet states that unanswered questions carry no deduction.

Example: a UG candidate gets 90 answers right, 20 wrong and leaves 10 unanswered. The marks are 90 minus 5, which is 85.

Count your answers against the final answer key. Use your retained question booklet and your OMR response sheet copy. The CLAT 2027 answer key page explains the objection route.

Check the total against the maximum for your paper. In CLAT 2026, the UG and PG papers were evaluated out of 119 marks. One question was withdrawn in each paper.

The Consortium has published no CLAT percentile and no CLAT marks vs rank table for CLAT exam results 2027. CLAT rank calculation uses total marks, and equal marks go to a fixed tie-break order. The rank list decides the order of candidates in counselling. The CLAT 2026 allotment lists show rank as All India Rank (AIR).

What is the tie-break rule in CLAT?

In CLAT rank calculation, the UG tie-break rule uses Legal Aptitude marks, then age, then a draw of lots. The PG rule skips the marks step.

The UG rule uses the term Legal Aptitude. The UG paper has five sections: English Language, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques. None is named Legal Aptitude, and the Consortium has not explained which section the rule means.

Example of CLAT rank calculation with made-up marks: two UG candidates both score 96.50. Candidate A has 24.50 marks in the Legal Aptitude component and Candidate B has 23.75. Candidate A ranks higher. If both had 24.50, the older candidate would rank higher. If the age were also equal, a computerised draw of lots would decide.

What rank is 70 marks in CLAT?

The Consortium publishes no marks-to-rank table, so no official rank exists for 70 marks in the CLAT exam results. CLAT marks vs rank changes with every paper, because CLAT rank calculation depends on how all other candidates score. After total marks, only the tie-break order settles equal scores.

Is a rank of 20,000 good in CLAT?

A CLAT rank of 20,000 is beyond every open General (General) closing rank in the CLAT 2026 UG allotment lists. The highest was AIR 2,802, for B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at IIULER Goa by list 5.

The CLAT result date in 2026 was 16 December 2025. The CLAT exam results notification of that day reports the highest marks but names no toppers. The Consortium published marks for the CLAT result 2026 topper but no name.

CLAT 2026 drew 92,344 applications, which is 17% more than the previous year. The Consortium's press release of 7 December 2025 gives this count. The test ran at 156 centres in 25 States, 93 cities and 4 Union Territories.

Registration for CLAT 2027 closes on 31 October 2026, so no final application count exists yet. The CLAT exam results date 2027 will come only after the exam of 6 December 2026.

Who was the CLAT result 2026 topper?

The CLAT result 2026 topper scored 112.75 in UG and 104.25 in PG. These were the highest marks, out of 119. The notification gives no names, so marks are the only official CLAT result 2026 topper detail.

For example, 113 right answers and one wrong answer give 112.75 under the +1 and -0.25 scheme. That mark is the UG score of the CLAT result 2026 topper. The UG and PG highest marks do not compare directly, because they come from different papers.

How many candidates appeared in CLAT 2026?
