LIBA Chennai Fees 2027

The two-year full-time PGDM at LIBA costs ₹18,89,700 in total. LIBA prints the same total in its full-time PGDM brochure for the 2024-26 batch (LIBA Full-Time PGDM brochure) and in its Admission Policy for the 2026-28 batch (LIBA Admission Policy 2026-28). The current PGDM admissions site shows the same total (LIBA PGDM admissions page).

Hostel is not in that number. Neither are the deposits. Budget for those separately.

Is the LIBA fee figure current?

Yes. ₹18,89,700 is the latest total LIBA has published for the full-time PGDM. LIBA has kept the same fee table for the 2024-26, 2025-27 and 2026-28 batches. The fee table in LIBA's public documents is for the 2026-28 batch. The brochure for the 2027-29 batch, which is now open for registration, sits behind a form on the PGDM site.

Treat ₹18,89,700 as the working number. Then write to admissions@liba.edu for the dated fee schedule for your own batch before you commit. Do not plan a loan on an undated figure.

What did the LIBA fee used to be?

LIBA's 2022-24 fee circular gives a total programme fee of ₹17,09,500 (LIBA PGDM 2022-24 fee structure). Against ₹18,89,700, that is an increase of ₹1,80,200, or about 10.5%, between the 2022-24 and 2024-26 batches.

Since then the total has stayed at ₹18,89,700 for three batches in a row.

LIBA chennai does not print fees for its five smaller routes on its public pages. Those rows say so rather than carrying an estimate.

The weekend PGDM splits as ₹3,84,600 in year one and ₹3,96,000 in year two. Year one includes a ₹10,000 admission fee.

LIBA shows the full-time PGDM fee in six terms, but its admission policy asks selected candidates to pay the annual fee. So plan for two yearly payments. The table shows how each year divides into three terms.

Why is the first LIBA term so much more expensive?

Term I carries the one-time charges on top of tuition. These are the admission fee of ₹35,000, the foundation course fee of ₹36,000, the hybrid learning platform fee of ₹20,000 and the NPTEL courses fee of ₹5,000. Every term also carries an establishment fee of ₹23,100, a library fee of ₹15,400 and a computer fee of ₹15,400.

So Term I at ₹4,04,400 is about ₹1.2 lakh more than Term II. Plan the first-year payment separately from the second.

What is not included in the LIBA PGDM fee?

Four things sit outside the ₹18,89,700.

• Hostel and mess, charged separately and detailed below.
• Two refundable deposits, ₹10,000 for library and ₹10,000 for retention, both payable with the first-year fee.
• The application fee of ₹2,000, which is non-refundable and paid before you are admitted.
• Living costs, travel and books, which LIBA does not publish a figure for.

Hostel at LIBA is charged separately from tuition. LIBA prints hostel fees for one year at a time.

Women's four-sharing rooms are ₹1,67,500 a year and five-sharing rooms are ₹1,62,500 a year. The men's and women's hostel amounts come from LIBA's AICTE mandatory disclosure for 2025-26. The mess note and the caution deposit come from the full-time brochure.

The AC and non-AC gap is the largest single choice here. Non-AC at ₹1,30,000 against AC single sharing at ₹2,50,000 is a gap of ₹1,20,000 a year in the men's hostel. Separate blocks are available for men and women (LIBA PGDM admissions page).

LIBA shows the full-time PGDM fee term by term and collects it as an annual fee. Per LIBA's admission policy, selected candidates pay the annual fee through a virtual account number, and the final admission letter follows. Check the exact amount and due date in your admission letter.

LIBA's student manual says fees are paid by NEFT on or before the last date set by the Finance Department. The weekend PGDM is also charged yearly, at ₹3,84,600 in year one and ₹3,96,000 in year two. The Online PGDM is quoted as a single total of ₹3,50,000, with LIBA stating that instalment options are available.

The same manual says a late payment fee, set by the Finance Controller, applies after the due date. LIBA does not print the amount. LIBA says it will help students get education loans from banks, and it names no partner bank on its public pages.

LIBA gives scholarships on a merit-cum-means basis. Its AICTE mandatory disclosure names the Jesuit Empowerment Scholarship. It also lists corporate tie-ups with Bharti Foundations, Hyundai Motors India Limited and Palaniswamy Trust, which offer scholarships to eligible students. LIBA does not print an award amount or a deadline.

LIBA's data submission to NIRF records the money involved. In the NIRF 2026 submission, 49 students received full tuition fee reimbursement from institution funds, against 98 students in the NIRF 2025 submission. Both filings report zero students receiving reimbursement from state or central government, and zero from private bodies (LIBA NIRF 2026 data report).

How much can a LIBA fee waiver actually be worth?

Full tuition reimbursement would cover the tuition fee of ₹14,46,900 inside the total programme fee of ₹18,89,700. It is the largest single reduction on record at LIBA. LIBA publishes no partial-waiver scale to compare it against.

LIBA publishes no application form for it. Its student manual says the scholarship is awarded after the first year, on merit and need, with preference to first-generation graduates, migrants, economically backward and Dalit families. LIBA can withdraw it if conduct or performance falls short. Write to admissions@liba.edu and ask, in writing, what financial assistance exists for your category. Do this before you accept an offer.
