The median salary for LIBA's 2023-24 graduating year was ₹11,00,000. 232 of 238 eligible students were placed, which is 97.5%. Both figures come from LIBA's own data submission to the National Institutional Ranking Framework ().
That is the most recent year LIBA has filed. Plan around the median, because the median is the middle student, not the best one.
No, and this is the single most important correction here.
LIBA's marketing pages state "100% placement". Its own statutory filing reports 232 of 238 placed for the 2023-24 graduating year, and 171 of 179 for 2022-23. It reports 100 of 178 for 2021-22. That last figure is 56%.
Both numbers come from LIBA. One is on a landing page with no batch year attached. The other is a dated submission to a Ministry of Education framework. When an institute's own two channels disagree, use the dated one.
It is the median, per LIBA's NIRF filing. LIBA's marketing pages call the same ₹11 LPA figure the average (LIBA PGDM programme site).
Those are different statistics and they cannot both be right for the same batch. The median is the middle student: half earned more, half earned less. The average is pulled upward by a few large offers. For planning a loan, the median is the more honest number, and it is the one in the statutory filing.
LIBA's current pages state a highest package of ₹21 LPA, with no batch year attached. LIBA's 2017 placement brochure printed the same figure. It read "HIGHEST SALARY: RS. 21.00 LAKHS PER ANNUM (DURING THE LAST 3 YEARS)" ().
So the highest-package figure on LIBA's current pages matches a number that is already nine years old. In 2017 it covered a three-year window, not a single batch. LIBA has not published a dated highest-package figure since. Treat ₹21 LPA as an undated marketing figure, not as last year's top offer.

Sources: LIBA NIRF 2025 submission for 2021-22 to 2023-24, and for 2020-21 to 2022-23. The two filings agree on the years they both cover. Placement rates are calculated from LIBA's own two columns.
Three things, and the third is the one that should shape a loan decision.
The recent record is strong. 97.5% placed in 2023-24, with a median of ₹11 lakh. That is a good outcome against a fee of ₹18,89,700. The median covers roughly 58% of the total programme fee in one year.
The median has risen steadily. ₹7,60,000 in 2021-22, then ₹10,00,000, then ₹11,00,000. That is a 44.7% increase in the median across two years, from LIBA's own filings.
The record is volatile. In 2021-22, 78 of 178 students who finished on time were not placed. Two years later only 6 of 238 were not. A swing that large in three years means the good years are real and so are the bad ones. Budget on the assumption that your batch could land anywhere in that band, not at the top of it.
The total programme fee is ₹18,89,700 and the 2023-24 median was ₹11,00,000. That is a fee roughly 1.7 times the median first-year salary, before hostel and living costs.
Add hostel at ₹1,30,000 non-AC or ₹2,50,000 AC for the men's hostel in the first year alone, and the gap widens. The LIBA fees break-up sets out every component you would be borrowing against.

Median and average are not interchangeable
LIBA's statutory filing calls ₹11 lakh the median salary for the 2023-24 graduating year. LIBA's marketing pages call ₹11 LPA the average. A median is the middle student. An average is pulled up by the largest offers. Plan a loan on the median, because half the batch earned at or above it.
LIBA does not publish a salary distribution, a sector-wise salary split, or the number of students in each salary band. It also does not state whether these figures are cost to company or fixed pay. That distinction matters, because cost to company can include bonuses that never reach a bank account.
LIBA publishes no course-wise or specialisation-wise placement split. Its NIRF filings report placement for the two-year PG programmes as a single block. Its marketing pages carry no breakdown by Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Business Analytics or IT and Operations.
| Programme or specialisation | Placement data published by LIBA |
|---|---|
| PGDM Full-Time, all specialisations combined | Yes, through NIRF filings |
| PGDM Full-Time, Marketing | No |
| PGDM Full-Time, Finance | No |
| PGDM Full-Time, Human Resources | No |
| PGDM Full-Time, Business Analytics | No |
| PGDM Full-Time, IT and Operations | No |
| PGDM Weekend | No |
| Online PGDM | No |
This is worth pausing on if you are choosing a specialisation on placement grounds. You cannot compare LIBA specialisations on salary, because LIBA has never published the split. The ₹11 lakh median covers the whole cohort.
The gap matters most for the Online PGDM, which costs ₹3,50,000 against ₹18,89,700 for the full-time route. LIBA publishes no placement data for the online programme at all, and the NIRF figures here do not cover it. The LIBA courses list sets out what each route actually is.
LIBA currently names Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Cognizant, EY, Schneider Electric and Vedanta among its recruiters. It also states that 60 or more companies visit (LIBA full-time PGDM page).
LIBA attaches no batch year to that list or to the 60-plus figure. Read it as the companies LIBA currently chooses to name, not as a verified list for a specific graduating batch.
The last dated recruiter list LIBA published was in its 2017 placement brochure. It named over 90 companies across 15 sectors. That document is nine years old and is not presented here as current hiring. LIBA has not published a dated recruiter list or an audited placement report since.
LIBA does not publish a documented placement process. No placement policy, company registration window, day-zero structure, offer-acceptance rule or placement-eligibility condition appears on its official pages.
What is known comes from the structure of the programme itself and from the NIRF filings.
If placement support matters to your decision, ask the placement office what the registration rules and eligibility conditions are. Get the answer before you accept an offer.
Answers to what readers ask most often.
LIBA states an average of ₹11 LPA on its marketing pages without attaching a batch year, so the dated figure to rely on is the median of ₹11,00,000 for the 2023-24 graduating year from its NIRF 2025 filing. Those are different statistics and LIBA applies the same number to both. Use the median, which is the middle student's salary. LIBA states ₹21 LPA with no batch year attached, and the same ₹21 lakh figure appears in its 2017 placement brochure, where it was described as the highest salary during the previous three years. LIBA has not published a dated highest-package figure since. Treat ₹21 LPA as an undated marketing figure rather than a recent top offer. Data Sources: LIBA placement brochure 2017 and pgdm.liba.edu
No, LIBA's NIRF 2025 filing reports 232 of 238 students placed in the 2023-24 graduating year, which is 97.5%. The same filing series reports 171 of 179 placed in 2022-23 and only 100 of 178 in 2021-22, which is 56.2%. The 100% claim on LIBA's marketing pages carries no batch year. Data Sources: LIBA NIRF 2025 and NIRF 2024 submissions, nirfindia.org
The most recent filed figure is 97.5% for the 2023-24 graduating year, calculated from 232 students placed out of 238 who graduated in the minimum stipulated time. LIBA has not published placement data for the 2024-26 batch on any official channel. Data Sources: LIBA NIRF 2025 submission, nirfindia.org
