Capilano University (CapU) is a public university based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was founded in 1968 as Capilano College by school boards and residents of the North Shore and Howe Sound based on the need for a public institution serving the local communities.

CapU is fully accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), a US-based accrediting body. The beauty of Capilano University's campuses and the quality of education offered here attract students from around the world. Its main campus is in North Vancouver, with another campus located in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast.

CapU enrolls approximately 11,600 students each year, 8,300 in for-credit programs and 3,300 in non-credit courses. It also houses more than 1,900 international students from 73 countries around the world. CapU is a teaching-focused university offering a wide range of programs and services that enable students to succeed in their current studies, in their ongoing education, in their chosen careers, in their lifelong pursuit of knowledge, and in their contribution as responsible citizens in a rapidly changing and diverse global community.

Capilano University has four locations, including the main campus in North Vancouver, the Sunshine Coast campus in Sechelt, CapU Lonsdale in The Shipyards and the Ts'zil Learning Centre in Mount Currie.
