XAT Exam Result 2026: Date, Scorecard & How to Check

Has XAT 2027 declared its result? No, not yet. As of 12 September 2026, that is the complete answer. No website's early guess changes it.

XAT 2027 is still months away, on 3 January 2027. There is no score to check right now. But it helps to understand the process today, not scramble to learn it on result night.

Four things matter right now. First, the real release window XLRI has published. Second, how to download your scorecard from xatonline.in once it is live. Third, what your percentile actually means next to your raw score. Fourth, what to do once XLRI declares the result.

XLRI Jamshedpur conducts XAT on behalf of XAMI, the Xavier Association of Management Institutes. XLRI and every other XAMI and associate institute across India accepts the same score for admission.

Here is where the XAT 2027 cycle stands right now.

Registration for XAT 2027 opened on 15 July 2026 and closes on 6 December 2026. That window is still open if you have not applied yet.

XLRI expects to release admit cards on 20 December 2026. This date is tentative. The XAT 2027 overview covers the full cycle, from registration through counselling.

XLRI has not announced an exact result date for XAT 2027. No other website's guess changes that, no matter how confident it sounds.

XLRI's own official website says results come out "approximately three weeks after the exam." But in the last two cycles, the actual result came out faster than that. So treat three weeks as the outer limit, not the likely date.

The exam is set for 3 January 2027. Three weeks after that lands in the last week of January 2027. But going by the recent pattern below, expect the result closer to mid-January.

Here is what actually happened in the last two cycles. Both times, the result came out much faster than the three-week estimate. XAT 2026's result came out on 16 January 2026, just 12 days after the 4 January exam. XAT 2025's result came out on 17 January 2025, also 12 days after its 5 January exam.

Two cycles in a row, XLRI has moved faster than its own published estimate, not slower. The three-week line is a safe outer limit to plan around, but the recent pattern points to something faster. If XAT 2027 holds that same 12-day gap, expect the result in the second half of January 2027, well before that three-week mark.

Once XLRI declares the result, here is how to check it. This follows how the portal worked in past cycles.

1. Go to xatonline.in or the candidate login at applications.xatonline.in.
2. Click "Login." Enter the ID and password you set up during XAT 2027 registration.
3. Open the "Result" or "Scorecard" section on the dashboard once it turns active.
4. The composite score and percentile appear on screen. Download the scorecard as a PDF. Save both a soft copy and a hard copy.
5. If you forget the password, use "Forgot Password" on the login page. XLRI resends it to your registered email.

No separate result-checking website exists. Every step runs through the same login you used to apply. Keep that ID and password safe until January 2027.

The scorecard is available at only one place: xatonline.in, through the candidate login. There is no separate scorecard portal. No other website's "direct link" carries any official weight.

Based on the last two cycles, expect a download window of about two months once the result is out. XAT 2025's result came out on 17 January 2025, and reporting at the time said the scorecard stayed live into late March. XAT 2026 followed a similar pattern. Its 16 January 2026 result stayed downloadable roughly until 31 March 2026.

If XAT 2027 follows that pattern, the scorecard should open with the result, likely mid-to-late January 2027, and stay live for about two months. XLRI has not confirmed exact dates yet.

If you miss that window, you will need to raise a dashboard query to get it reissued. Download it the day it appears. Do not put it off.

XLRI has not released a sample XAT 2027 scorecard yet. Here is what to expect, based on the exam's confirmed structure and the pattern of past years.

• Your name, application number and photograph
• Section-wise scaled score and percentile for the three Part 1 sections: Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VALR), Decision Making (DM), and Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QADI)
• Your overall composite score and composite percentile, built from those three Part 1 sections
• A separate General Knowledge (GK) score, reported on its own

The last bullet matters the most. GK is part of Part 2 of the exam, and it has no negative marking. But it still does not count in the main composite percentile.

XLRI uses the GK score only at its own final selection stage, after shortlisting. It does not decide who gets called in the first place.

A weak GK score will not drag down the percentile that most XAMI and associate institutes shortlist on. A strong one can still help you later, specifically at XLRI.

A score is a raw number. A percentile reports where that number lands against everyone else who sat the exam.

Picture a race with 100 runners. Finishing at the 96th percentile does not mean covering 96 percent of the distance.

It means crossing the line ahead of 96 of those 100 runners. Only 4 finished quicker.

That is exactly how XAT works. XLRI ranks a raw score in VALR, DM and QADI against every other candidate's score. The percentile is just where a candidate sits in that lineup.

This is also why the same raw score can produce two different percentiles across two different years. Say the XAT 2027 paper turns out tougher than XAT 2026's. Then a lower raw score could still land a higher percentile. That happens because everyone else's score drops too.

XLRI has not published an official score-to-percentile table for XAT 2027. It is unlikely to release one before results are out.

If you see an "expected score vs percentile" chart anywhere else, treat it as an estimate, not a guarantee. Percentile depends on the whole candidate pool that year, not on a fixed formula.
