XAT Exam Admit Card 2027

XAT 2027's admit card date is 20 December 2026. XLRI marks this date tentative on its site, which means it can change. As of 12 September 2026, the admit card is not out yet. Treat 20 December 2026 as a working target, not a fixed date.

You will need the admit card plus one original photo ID to enter the exam hall. XAT 2027 falls on 3 January 2027, a Sunday. XLRI Jamshedpur conducts the exam.

XLRI conducts XAT every year for its own programmes. It also runs the exam for more than 130 XAT Associate Institutes, per xatonline.in/associate.

Within that group, xatonline.in/associate lists 12 institutes separately as XAMI Members. It describes them as Xavier-affiliated partner schools. XAT 2027 candidates applying to any of these institutes also need this same admit card to enter the test centre.

Registration for XAT 2027 opened on 15 July 2026. It closes on 6 December 2026, per xatonline.in. The admit card date falls two weeks after that closing date. That two-week gap is XLRI's own processing time before it releases the card.

Why is the XAT 2027 admit card date still tentative?

XLRI does not explain why an admit card date might change, and it is not required to.

XLRI marks this date as tentative, which is the only signal that it could shift. Treat 20 December 2026 as a working target, not a final date. Keep checking the XAT 2027 exam dates page for any update XLRI makes.

You cannot download the admit card from any public link. You can only get it by logging into your own XLRI account — the same one you used to fill the XAT 2027 form.

What login details do you need to download it?

Log in with the email ID and password XLRI sent after registration, as mentioned on the XAT official website. If you forget the password, use Forgot Password under Login on applications.xatonline.in.

XLRI has not published a sample admit card for XAT 2027. Here is what past cycles show instead.

XLRI listed these fields for XAT 2025 and XAT 2026. Its XAT 2027 registration page adds one more rule. The signature on the admit card must match the one you uploaded at registration.

• Candidate's name and application number
• Uploaded photograph and a space for signature verification
• XAT 2027 exam date and reporting or gate-closure time
• The test centre allotted for the exam

Will the XAT admit card show my exam centre address?

Past XAT cycles printed the allotted test centre on the admit card. XAT 2027 should follow the same pattern, but XLRI has not confirmed this yet. XLRI confirms the exact layout only after it activates the download. We will recheck this section once the card is live.

XLRI's official General Instructions for XAT 2026 are the most recent ones it has published. They accept these photo IDs:

• Aadhaar Card
• Voter ID Card
• PAN Card
• Valid college ID card
• Passport
• Driving Licence
• Employee ID Card

XLRI has not released a 2027 version of this list yet. What XLRI has published is for the 2025 and 2026 cycles, not 2027. Until XLRI says otherwise, treat this list as the safest guide for 2027 too.

What if my photo on the admit card doesn't look like me anymore?

Carry one recent passport-size photograph as backup. XLRI's own instructions say this directly: bring "one recent passport-size photograph" if your uploaded photo no longer matches you.

XLRI has not published XAT 2027 timings yet. What follows is the pattern from its most recent instructions. It is not a confirmed 2027 schedule.

In past cycles, the login window opened 10 minutes before the exam start. Gate closure was at 1:50 PM for a 2:00 PM start, and no candidate was allowed in after that time.

XLRI captures your biometrics at the centre on exam day, per its instructions for recent cycles. You also need to sign the attendance sheet. If you skip it, you risk losing your attempt.

What items are banned inside the XAT exam hall?

XLRI bans several items inside the exam hall, per its XAT 2026 instructions:

• Mobile phones
• Electronic or Bluetooth devices
• Calculators
• Analog, digital and smart watches
• Metallic items
• Books and papers
• Ornaments, masks and electronic keys

Carry only a personal pen or pencil, and a transparent water bottle. XLRI provides rough sheets at the centre.

You can fix most admit card problems if you catch them early. Here is what XLRI recommends on its official website.

What if my name or photograph is wrong on the admit card?

Raise it through the "Any Query? Ask Us" option on the dashboard, as mentioned on the XAT official website. Do not wait until exam week. A correction takes time to process. Gate closure will not wait for it.

What if I lose my admit card before exam day?

The card lives on the XLRI dashboard, not in a one-time email. Log back in to applications.xatonline.in and download it again. This solves most lost-copy problems. If the download itself throws an error, report it through the same dashboard query option.
