Admit Card

A UCEED admit card is proof that a candidate has registered for the exam. It also carries the details that decide where and when that candidate sits for the exam: the allotted centre, date and shift. Every candidate appearing for UCEED needs this document. They must download and print it before entering the exam hall.

IIT Bombay's UCEED-CEED Office conducts UCEED every year. It hasn't opened the admit card window for UCEED 2027 yet. IIT Bombay has confirmed the exam for 17 January 2027, but not yet the admit card schedule around it. Until IIT Bombay publishes that schedule, the UCEED 2026 cycle, the most recently completed one, is the closest working reference for what to expect.

This page lays out what the brochure actually confirms about downloading, checking and carrying that admit card. It also flags where the brochure stays silent, instead of filling the gap with a guess. For the full UCEED 2027 calendar around this one window, see the UCEED 2027 overview page.

UCEED 2027 Admit Card Release Date

IIT Bombay hasn't announced the UCEED admit card release date. The only 2027 date fixed so far is the exam itself: Sunday, 17 January 2027, forenoon session.

Going by the UCEED 2026 cycle, admit card downloads opened on 2 January 2026. That year's exam took place on 18 January 2026, a gap of roughly two weeks between the two. UCEED 2027 may keep a similar gap before its 17 January exam date. If it does, an admit card is likely sometime in the first half of January 2027. Treat this as a likely pattern, not a confirmed date, until IIT Bombay announces the actual one.

No separate admit card date exists by city or category for UCEED. Whatever date IIT Bombay eventually sets for UCEED 2027, it applies to every registered candidate at once. UCEED 2026 worked the same way.

How to Download UCEED Admit Card 2027?

UCEED doesn't email admit cards to candidates. Candidates download them directly from the candidate portal at uceedapp.iitb.ac.in. This is the same portal used to register for the exam in the first place. IIT Bombay has confirmed this for every recent UCEED cycle.

  1. Go to the candidate portal at uceedapp.iitb.ac.in.
  2. Log in with the UCEED Registration ID and password created at registration.
  3. Open the admit card section on the candidate dashboard.
  4. Check every printed detail, name, photograph, category, exam centre, carefully.
  5. Download the admit card as a PDF and print it clearly on plain paper.

One portal for the whole process

Registration, admit card download and result checking all run through the same candidate portal, uceedapp.iitb.ac.in. There's no separate site or app for UCEED at any of these steps.

There's no separate "download link" apart from the candidate portal itself. Logging into uceedapp.iitb.ac.in with registration credentials is the only confirmed mechanism. UCEED doesn't send admit cards by email or host them on any other site.

The button above leads to the candidate portal itself, not a direct admit card file. No such file exists outside a candidate's own login. Anyone who hasn't finished UCEED 2027 registration should sort that out first. The admit card window means nothing until registration is complete.

The same portal and login stay in use after the exam too. Candidates use them to check the UCEED 2027 result once IIT Bombay declares it.

Details Mentioned on UCEED Admit Card 2027

IIT Bombay holds UCEED in a single sitting across 27 cities. Its admit card carries a fixed set of details. This lets a candidate and the centre staff both confirm the same identity and slot. Based on the fields confirmed for the UCEED 2026 cycle, a UCEED admit card shows:

  • Candidate's name
  • UCEED Registration ID
  • Roll number
  • Date of birth
  • Category (General/EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD)
  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Exam date and shift
  • Exam centre address
  • Test-day instructions

Every one of these fields is worth checking the moment a candidate downloads the admit card. An error here is far easier to fix before exam day than after it. The correction window, covered later on this page, doesn't stay open indefinitely.

Documents Required for UCEED 2027 Exam

Two things are non-negotiable at the UCEED exam centre: a printed copy of the admit card, and a valid original photo identity proof. Both are confirmed requirements for UCEED, and a candidate without either is unlikely to enter.

Carry both, not just one

The admit card alone isn't enough for UCEED. A candidate must also carry a valid original photo ID proof, and neither document substitutes for the other.

UCEED's brochure doesn't spell out which specific documents count as valid photo ID proof. It states the requirement only in general terms. IIT Bombay hasn't published a detailed list for any recent cycle. The safest approach is a valid, original, government-issued photo ID that clearly shows a photograph. Do not assume exam staff will automatically accept any one document.

UCEED 2027 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates answer UCEED's Part B entirely by hand, not on a computer. It comes with its own exam-day rules, worth knowing well before test day. Part A, by contrast, is computer-based, so none of these material rules apply to that half of the exam.

  • Black pencils, carried in a transparent pouch or packet
  • An A4-size writing or drawing board (optional, but allowed)

Not permitted for Part B

UCEED doesn't allow sketch pens, colour pencils or poster colours for Part B. Candidates draw and design in pencil only, inside the answer booklet provided at the centre.

Every candidate also goes through biometric verification at the centre. Staff take a photograph and record a thumb impression, in addition to the admit card and ID checks at entry. This applies uniformly, regardless of which of UCEED's 27 exam cities IIT Bombay allots a candidate to.

UCEED Admit Card 2027: Common Issues and Solutions

A detail on my admit card is wrong (name, photo, category, etc.)

In the UCEED 2026 cycle, IIT Bombay accepted corrections only through the candidate portal, during a fixed window from 2 to 8 January 2026. IIT Bombay treats the admit card as final once that window closes. UCEED 2027's own correction window isn't out yet, so it's worth watching the candidate portal as soon as IIT Bombay releases admit cards.

The candidate portal won't accept my login

The candidate portal is the only official channel confirmed for UCEED admit cards. Login uses the same UCEED Registration ID and password created at registration. IIT Bombay's brochure doesn't name a separate helpdesk phone number or email for admit card issues, and no such contact appears anywhere else officially. So the portal itself remains the confirmed point of contact.

I haven't received an admit card by email

UCEED doesn't send admit cards by email. They're available only by logging into the candidate portal and downloading them directly, so a missing email is normal, not an error.

My exam centre or shift looks wrong

IIT Bombay allots the exam centre and shift, and prints them directly on the admit card. There's no self-service option to change one. If the correction window is still open when a candidate notices this, that is exactly what it exists to catch.

Once the UCEED exam itself is done, attention shifts to the next confirmed point on the calendar: the UCEED 2027 result. Candidates check it through the same candidate portal.
