The Class of 2026 (61st batch) is the latest batch with a final report. The 62nd batch has finished only its summer placement, and the NIRF figures further down are for earlier batches. Do not mix the three.
The Class of 2026 median package of Rs 35.00 lakh was above the MBA fee of Rs 27,00,000 for the 2024-26 batch. Add food, living costs and loan interest before you judge. Ask your target firms what part of the package is fixed pay, because the report states the highest offers as CTC.
The institute reports 100% placement, with 202 firms making 542 offers to a batch of 458 students. Its report speaks of a fair and equal opportunity for students who opt in to the placement process. The report does not say how many students opted out, so ask the placement office how it counts a placed student.

Check twice if you want a career outside consulting, finance and general management, because the IIM Calcutta placement statistics lean that way. Those three domains took more than three in four of the offers, and technology, sales and marketing roles took the rest. Ask the placement office which firms in your domain came in 2026.
IIM Calcutta placement statistics show 100% placement in two of the last three batches and 99% in the third. The table uses the data the institute submitted to NIRF for its two-year PG programmes. It shows the students placed and the median salary for each graduating year.
