The sponsored list has 36 items. The main JMI merit scholarship in it is the Jamia Merit Scholarship. The list also has the Jamia Central Scholarship, nine JMIAA Riyadh scholarships, topper awards, gold medals and an ICAI award. JMI also publishes position holder lists for scholarships, and the latest were updated on 9 October 2026 for the 2024-25 semester exams.
The biggest JMI scholarship is the Mushirul Hasan Doctoral Fellowship, at ₹25,000 a month for nine months, which is ₹2,25,000. There are only two fellowships a year, one for a male and one for a female scholar. For UG and PG students, the biggest JMI scholarship is the Kalam Scholarship at up to ₹10,000 a year. Foreign students can apply to ICCR through its A2A portal for seats reserved for ICCR candidates.
The DSW pages also list loans and government schemes, which are not JMI scholarships. They include PM-Vidyalaxmi, the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme and a concessional education loan scheme of NDFDC for students with disabilities. The NSP, the Delhi government e-District and Jharkhand's e-Kalyan portals are listed for post-matric and merit-cum-means schemes. Each scheme sets its own rules, so read them on the scheme's portal.
JMI scholarship eligibility depends on the scheme. For the Kalam Scholarship you must be an Indian citizen in a regular UG or PG course. You also need 75% attendance and an income of ₹2 lakh or less. The tabs show the rules of each call.

Open the Kalam Scholarship NoticeApply for the JMI scholarship within a few weeks of the DSW call, because the window is short. The Kalam call of 22 December 2025 gave about five weeks. The Mushirul Hasan call of 20 August 2025 gave nearly four. Watch the JMI notices page and the DSW scholarship page each term, since JMI posts no fixed calendar.
The Kalam Scholarship needs nine documents, all self-attested. Keep these JMI scholarship documents ready before the call opens.
The PG Merit-cum-Means form asks for an ID card, latest fee slip or bonafide certificate, an income certificate, a death certificate where it applies, and the last mark-sheet.
The JMI scholarship selection process uses an administering committee for the Mushirul Hasan fellows, and it ties the Kalam Scholarship to need, attendance and conduct. The Kalam notice does not describe a test. It says the award runs for one year and may continue if your academic record and conduct stay satisfactory. You must apply again each year.

These JMI scholarship statistics come from the NIRF 2026 data submission. JMI publishes no count of Kalam Scholarship awards, so no award-wise JMI scholarship statistics 2027 exist.
