JMI placements run through the University Placement Cell, and the record differs a lot by course. The cell serves engineering, management, computer applications, arts, languages and commerce students. The Department of Management Studies (DMS) also publishes its own MBA placement brochure. Why Did the JMI B.Tech Median Jump So Much?

JMI does not explain the jump in its NIRF data. The median is the middle salary of those placed, so a few large offers do not lift it alone. Still, one batch is a thin base. Look at the next batch before you treat ₹25,20,800 as the norm.

JMI placement statistics for B.Tech come from three NIRF batches. The table shows graduates placed, with the median salary of those placed. These JMI placement details cover the four-year engineering programmes together. NIRF does not split them by branch.

Graduates who chose higher studies are counted apart from those placed. For B.Tech, 61 did so in 2022-23, 54 in 2023-24 and 57 in 2024-25.

What Does the JMI Placement Record Look Like Overall?

JMI placement for all graduates of 2024-25 ranged from 55% for three-year UG courses to 88% for five-year UG courses. The table uses the overall NIRF 2026 data, as submitted by JMI.

Three-year UG courses show 476 graduates in higher studies, which is close to the number placed. So the placed share is low there, but many students moved on to a master's degree.

The JMI placement package is best read as a median, because the median shows what a typical placed student earned. Single offers from press releases show the top of the range. They do not show what most students got. Check the JMI fees to compare programme costs with placement outcomes.

What Are the JMI Average Package and Highest Placement Package?

JMI publishes no single JMI average package or JMI highest placement package for the whole university. The NIRF data gives medians by course. The largest 2026 offer in a JMI press release is ₹35 LPA, for a B.Tech Computer Engineering student of Batch 2027. DMS reports a highest CTC of 24 LPA and an average of 10.8 LPA for its 2023-25 MBA batch.

TCS selected 34 Batch 2027 students from 300 who appeared, after it shortlisted 117. Epam took B.Tech Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication, and MCA students. The VISA student also received an internship stipend of ₹90,000 a month.

JMI MBA placement covered 94 of 105 graduates in 2024-25, with a NIRF median of ₹16,00,000. The batch was 63 graduates in 2022-23 and 103 in 2023-24. The placed share was 95% in 2022-23, 94% in 2023-24 and 90% in 2024-25. The medians were ₹10,20,000, ₹12,60,000 and ₹16,00,000. The DMS brochure reports a median of ₹10 lakh for 2023-25. Do JMI Departments Publish Their Own Placement Reports?

Some do, and their numbers can look lower than the NIRF figures. The Department of Computer Science reports 28 of 56 MCA students placed (50%) for the 2024-26 batch.
