SOA Bhubaneswar Courses 2026

SOA runs more than 170 programmes across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. All are spread across its 10 institutes (admission.soa.ac.in/programmes-offered). These cover engineering, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and law. They also cover nursing, management, computer applications, agricultural sciences and hotel management. Each institute sets its own eligibility and duration. "SOA courses" is really 10 separate course catalogues under one entrance-test brand.

Which SOA institute offers your subject?

Engineering sits under ITER. Medicine sits under the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, and dentistry under the Institute of Dental Sciences. Management, law, pharmacy, nursing, computer applications, agriculture and hotel management each have their own named institute inside SOA.

What Are the Flagship Courses at SOA?

The flagship courses at SOA are the BDS, the BA LLB and BBA LLB, the MBBS and the ITER BTech. SOA does not name a flagship course on its own pages. These four carry SOA's best NIRF 2025 ranks. They are Dental 9, Law 10, Medical 15 and Engineering 22 (SOA NIRF page).

Does SOA offer a 4-year or 5-year law degree?

Both. SOA's National Institute of Law runs a 3-year LLB for graduates. It also runs 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programmes for students straight out of Class 12.

How long is the SOA MBBS programme?

The SOA MBBS runs 5.5 years, including a compulsory rotating internship, the standard duration for an MBBS in India.

What is the minimum percentage needed for SOA BTech?

You need at least 60% overall in Class 12 (55% for SC/ST/OBC candidates). The listed subjects depend on the branch, and you need at least 50% in them (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates). CSE, CSIT, EEE and ECE need Physics, Mathematics and one more listed subject. Civil, Electrical and Mechanical need Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Do you need NEET for SOA nursing courses?

SOA states that MBBS, BDS, MD, MS and MDS admission is through NEET only. The BSc Nursing eligibility page asks for 10+2 with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English together, and names no NEET requirement. Check the SOA admission page before applying.
