Continuing UG students of the 2023-24 to 2025-26 batches paid ₹52,350 for the odd semester of 2026-27. The 2022-23 batch paid ₹43,400. Continuing PG students of 2024-25 and 2025-26 paid ₹57,150. Students who paid after 31 July 2026 paid a fine of ₹750 until 15 August and ₹1,500 until 31 August. Readmission after that carried a fine of ₹2,500.

You pay the hostel fee only through SBI i-collect. The hostel office does not accept DD, cash, cheque or pay orders. Students on a bank loan or a corporate scholarship can use NEFT. They must email the proof of payment to hostelfee@nitt.edu. Late course registration costs ₹250 for each subject, and it is paid through SBI Collect.

You pay NIT Trichy fees on the Samarth portal, and the institute does not allow part payment. New B.Tech and B.Arch students pay in three steps: the JoSAA seat acceptance fee, the Partial Admission Fee and the balance at online reporting. Course registration opens only after full payment.

What If You Cannot Pay the NIT Trichy Fees at Once?

The circular does not allow part payment of NIT Trichy fees, so plan the full amount first. Students with an education loan or scholarship pay in one of two ways. They can download an NEFT challan from the Samarth portal and give it to the bank. For an SBI loan they can use the SBI branch payment challan. They can also give the paid receipt to the bank for reimbursement. The Fees Section lists the PM-Vidyalaxmi scheme as a single-window route to education loans. Its portal says more than 40 banks are linked to it.

Students who claim income remission pay the full fee first for semester I. NIT Trichy refunds the remission after it receives the JoSAA and CSAB amounts, which is expected around February 2027. A certificate sent after full payment does not count for reimbursement in later semesters. Submit it before the semester starts.
