MICA does not publish a cutoff percentile or cutoff marks, so there is no single MICA cutoff number. MICA publishes three things: a 50% marks rule for your degree, section-wise qualifying criteria for MICAT, and a note that PGDM quantitative cut-offs may be higher. This page explains how the MICA cutoff works for the cycle that admits the 2027-29 batch. That cycle uses CAT 2026, XAT 2027, MICAT I on 5 December 2026 and MICAT II on 12 February 2027.

There is no MICA cutoff for CAT, because MICA publishes no percentile. It accepts CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT scores from 2025 onwards for the PGDM-C, PGDM and Sports Management. MICA states that its qualifying cut-offs vary each cycle.
MICA publishes no XAT cutoff either. For XAT you enter only your registration number, and MICA collects the score from XLRI. IIMs, XLRI and GMAC have no role in MICA's selection.
Yes. MICA applies section-wise qualifying criteria to MICAT, and the numbers change each cycle. MICA does not print them, so there are no MICA cutoff marks to quote.
The MICA cutoff 2026 works in stages: a degree-marks floor, MICAT qualifying criteria, then a merit list. Only the first stage has a number, which is 50%. The MICA cutoff for the other stages is a rule and not a score. The table lists each stage of the MICA admission cutoff for the 2027-29 batch.
| Stage | Date | What the cutoff means |
|---|---|---|
| Degree marks | At application | At least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA |
| MICAT I score | 18 December 2026 | Section-wise qualifying criteria apply |
| MICAT II score | 28 February 2027 | Section-wise qualifying criteria apply |
| Merit list | After the group exercise and interview | No cutoff number is published |
Yes, MICA says the cutoff can differ by programme, so the MICA cutoff for the PGDM may not match the PGDM-C. The MICA course wise cutoff for the PGDM may be higher in quantitative ability and data interpretation. The PGDM has a greater emphasis on analytics, and MICA weights quantitative ability more for it. The PGDM-C weights creative aptitude, verbal ability and reading comprehension. MICA gives no numbers for either, and no MICA courses wise cut off sheet exists.
MICA publishes no applicant count. Its brochure says its students are about 1.5% to 2% of the aspirants who apply each year. Its NIRF data shows an intake of 240 and 204 first-year students admitted in 2023-24, against 203 and 185 in the two years before. The group exercise and interview then decide the merit list.
MICA announces no cut off. It declares MICAT I scores on 18 December 2026 and MICAT II scores on 28 February 2027. Offer letters follow the merit list.
MICA applies section-wise qualifying criteria to MICAT, and it publishes no sectional cutoff for CAT, XAT or GMAT. The MICA MICAT cut off sits inside a computer-based test with a psychometric part, a descriptive part and an aptitude part. The MICAT sample paper of September 2026 shows how each part looks. MICA normalises scores, so each sub-section score is converted using all qualifying candidates.
| MICAT part | What the sample paper shows | Scoring note |
|---|---|---|
| Psychometric | Personality and preference questions | No right or wrong answer, no negative marking |
| Descriptive | Arguments for and against, a personal view, a picture story | Typed answers of about 200 to 300 words |
| Aptitude | Quantitative and data interpretation, verbal ability, divergent and convergent thinking | Short-answer questions carry no negative marking |
Practise each part, because the MICA cutoff is section-wise for MICAT and a weak part can hurt. Use the sample PDF to write timed descriptive answers and to solve the aptitude questions. MICA notes that the sample questions are only for reference and do not show the actual paper. A MICAT demo is listed as available soon.
MICA publishes no category-wise cutoff, and its admission pages state no reservation policy. A MICA category wise cutoff for 2026 does not exist yet. So there is no MICA category wise cut off for SC, ST, OBC, EWS or PwD candidates to read. The MICA cutoff for each category is not public. MICA's mandatory disclosure page lists a statutory Affirmative Action and SC/ST Committee, which is the body to ask about category rules.
MICA states no separate cutoff for any category on its admission pages. Write to admissions@micamail.in before you register and ask for the category rules in writing.
MICA expected cutoff cannot be given as a number, because MICA has never published one. Any figure for the MICA expected cut off, or for the MICA previous year cutoff, would be a guess. A MICA previous year cut off table on a blog has no official source. Cutoff figures quoted by coaching blogs are not official. The same goes for a MICA cutoff marks 2026 list or a MICA MICAT cutoff 2026 list. You can still plan around what MICA does publish.

You can apply, because MICA names no minimum CAT percentile. But the MICAT criteria and the interview still apply. Keep other colleges ready. If your CAT score is weak, the one-year PGCM courses need MICAT alone, so the MICA cutoff looks only at MICAT for them.
Yes. MICA lets you sit MICAT I and MICAT II, and it counts the better of the two. Each sitting needs its own registration and fee.
Four factors move the MICA cutoff each year: applicants, seats, scores and programme. MICA has not published how it weighs any of them. The MICA cutoff 2026 will therefore move with this cycle's pool and not with last year's.
👥Pool SizeApplicantsA bigger pool of CAT, XAT, GMAT and MICAT scores raises the score needed for the merit list.🪑IntakeSeatsThe PGDM-C has 180 seats and the PGDM has 60. The one-year courses have 40 to 60 each.📊StatisticsNormalised ScoresMICA converts each sub-section score using all qualifying candidates, so the line moves with the cohort.🎓Per ProgrammeProgramme ChoiceThe PGDM may need higher quantitative scores than the PGDM-C, as MICA states.Yes, for the merit list. The group exercise and personal interview come after MICAT, and MICA prepares the merit list from them. MICA publishes no weights for 2027, so the MICA cutoff has no interview share on record. A strong interview can matter, but nobody outside MICA can say by how much.
Answers to what readers ask most often.
The MICA cutoff is not a percentile, so no score is safe or rejected in advance. Apply, take MICAT, and prepare for the group exercise and interview. Data Sources: MICA admissions page.
No. PGCM-AMC, PGCM-DMMC and CSC use MICAT only, so no CAT, XAT or GMAT cutoff applies to the MICA cutoff for those courses. Sports Management does need one of the three. Data Sources: MICA programme admission pages.
MICA says the quantitative cut-offs may be higher for the PGDM, so the MICA cutoff is not one number. It gives no numbers for either programme. Data Sources: MICA PGDM-C and PGDM admission pages.
MICA accepts CAT 2026, XAT 2027 and GMAT scores from 2025 onwards. Update them on the MICA website by 30 January 2027. Data Sources: MICA admission pages.
