How Does IIM Raipur Admission Work Now?

What Is JAP at IIM Raipur?
JAP is the Joint Admission Process of four IIMs. Registration after the CAT result and shortlisting for the interview are common to all four. Each IIM then runs its own fee payment and offer acceptance. A seat at one IIM is not a seat at another.

When Does IIM Raipur Admission 2027 Open?
The institute has not announced it. JAP opened soon after the CAT result last time. If the IIM Raipur admission process repeats, the portal would open after the CAT 2026 result. Watch the admission policy page of the institute for the 2027-29 policy.
IIM Raipur Eligibility Criteria 2027
The IIM Raipur admission criteria ask for a bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks for General, EWS and NC-OBC. SC candidates need 50%, and ST and PwD candidates need 45%. The merit list applies this bar. Registration on the JAP portal has a lower graduation bar and adds Class X and XII marks, as the table shows. Can Final-Year Students Apply for IIM Raipur?
Yes. The IIM Raipur admission requirements let final-year students apply on marks up to the last term. They join provisionally. For the 2026-28 batch they had to submit a completion certificate by 30 June 2026 and original results by 30 September 2026. The next policy will set new dates.
What Is the Work Experience Rule for IIM Raipur?
The policy sets no minimum work experience. Work experience earns marks at the selection stage. Only full-time paid work after graduation counts, in complete months. It needs proof of tax, provident fund or professional tax deduction. Salary paid in cash or by UPI does not count.

No. The MBA admission runs on CAT only, through JAP. GMAT and GRE are accepted for the PhD, and only from a test centre.

The 2026-28 MBA batch used CAT 2025. The MBA in Public Policy and Governance accepted CAT scores of 2023, 2024 and 2025. IIM Raipur admission 2027 is expected to use CAT 2026, but the institute must confirm it in the new policy.

Is the IIM Raipur Interview Online or in Person?
The IIM Raipur admission procedure for the interview is in person. IIM Ranchi's JAP 2026 notice says the PI is conducted physically. IIM Tiruchirappalli's JAP page lists ten venues: Bangalore, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi, plus the four IIM campuses. The institute emails the date, time and venue to shortlisted candidates.

No. JAP registration only puts your profile on the portal after the invitation email. The interview call comes later, if you are shortlisted by the percentile bars of the IIMs you chose.

No. The four IIMs run the PI jointly. After it, each IIM prepares its own merit list. IIM Raipur ranks candidates category-wise and sends offers.

A candidate gets either the gender diversity score or the academic diversity score, not both. These IIM Raipur admission criteria decide the merit list.
How Are the Selection Marks Scored?
The tabs give the slabs for the three components that need a rule.
Both use the same slabs. Below 60% scores 0. The score is 1.5 for 60% to 65% and 8 for 80% to 85%. It is 12 for 90% to 95%. Anything at 95% or above scores the full 15.

IIM Raipur admission 2027 will follow the Government of India reservation policy for central institutions, as the 2026-28 batch did. Offers go out in merit order within each category. The tabs cover the three things candidates ask about in the IIM Raipur admission procedure.
