IIM Bodh Gaya was set up in 2015 at Bodh Gaya in Bihar. It is an Institute of National Importance under the IIM Act 2017. The Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya moved to its permanent campus at Uruvela, which was inaugurated on 20 February 2024. IIM Bodh Gaya is one of the seven newer IIMs that began in 2015.
IIM Bodh Gaya runs a full-time MBA, an MBA in Digital Business and AI, and an MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management. It also runs a five-year IPM after Class 12, a Ph.D., an Executive Ph.D. and an Online Executive MBA. On 21 July 2026, AACSB accredited IIM Bodh Gaya. IIM Bodh Gaya is known for its mindfulness theme, its green permanent campus and its five-year IPM. The IIM Bodh Gaya campus won the Fit India FERN Award in the Gold category. IIM Bodh Gaya also offers a dedicated MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management.
No NAAC grade is shown on the IIM Bodh Gaya about, programme and admissions pages. It is an Institute of National Importance and holds AACSB accreditation. For quality checks, look at NIRF and the placement reports.

The IIM Bodh Gaya cutoff for General MBA candidates is 90 percentile overall and 65 in each CAT section. This IIM Bodh Gaya cutoff 2026 guide uses the bar for the common admission process 2026, which applied CAT 2025 scores. Check your CAT scorecard for the three sectional percentiles and the total against the IIM Bodh Gaya cutoff.
Clearing the Bar Is Not a Seat
The cutoff only lets you submit an expression of interest. IIM Bodh Gaya then ranks candidates on CAT, the interview and the profile. A high percentile still needs a strong profile and interview at IIM Bodh Gaya.
You need the IIM Bodh Gaya bar for your category. The lowest bar is for ST and PwD candidates, at 38 overall. EWS and NC-OBC candidates need 75 overall. This is the IIM Bodh Gaya previous year cutoff. Women can use a lower bar in the supernumerary girls seats, where the General bar is 85. IIM Bodh Gaya publishes percentiles, so IIM Bodh Gaya cutoff marks quoted elsewhere are not official. The IIM Bodh Gaya expected cutoff for CAT 2026 stays the same until a new policy arrives. The IIM Bodh Gaya cutoff 2027 will follow that policy. The cutoff page of this guide lists every category and programme.

We kept replies from current students and from aspirants who gave specific detail. We left out jokes, one-line insults, promotions and deleted posts. We also left out any fee, cut-off, package or rank quoted in a post.
We left out serious claims about named people or the institute that no second account supports. We also left out reviews from aggregator sites.
Students rarely describe the course workload, so we say little about it. Quora answers on IIM Bodh Gaya date from 2016 to 2020, and PaGaLGuY, X and LinkedIn had no student reviews, so we did not use them. IIM Bodh Gaya suits students who want a residential campus, can reach the top half of the batch and accept marketing, sales or BFSI roles. It suits people with a strong current job or fixed finance and consulting goals less.
Online posts are harsh on IIM Bodh Gaya. A first-year student says many critics have never visited the campus. Ask current students before you decide.
