- Stage 1, CAT bars and EoI. You clear the percentile bars for your category and submit an expression of interest in the common admission process.
- Stage 2, shortlist and interview. The institute shortlists candidates for the personal interview, which is offline. IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Jammu and IIM Sirmaur ran a common process in 2026.
- Stage 3, merit list. Candidates who meet the minimum interview score enter the merit list, ranked on CAT, interview and profile.
- Stage 4, offer and registration. You pay ₹20,000 as the EoI fee, receive an offer by merit order, and pay ₹80,000 to accept it. The institute then verifies your documents.

IIM Bodh Gaya admission follows Government of India reservation rules for SC, ST, NC-OBC, EWS and PwD candidates. The policy lists no category-wise seat counts, so the table shows the standard shares. PwD seats are a horizontal reservation, so they come from within the other categories.

What Does the EWS Certificate Need?
EWS candidates need an income and asset certificate from a competent authority. The Government of India rule sets the family income limit at less than ₹8 lakh a year. The rule excludes families with 5 acres of agricultural land or more. Keep the certificate valid for the year of admission.

How Long Does It Take to Recover the IIM Bodh Gaya MBA Fee?
It takes about 14.6 months of average pay to match the fee. This compares ₹17,96,000 with one year of the ₹14.80 LPA average, before tax and living cost, and ignores interest on any loan. The median of ₹14.00 LPA gives about 15.4 months. It is a rough guide only. The fee also excludes the pay a working student gives up for two years.
Who Gets a Good Return From IIM Bodh Gaya and Who Does Not?
Students in the top half of the batch see a faster return, and the lowest quarter takes much longer. In the 2024-26 batch, the top 25% averaged ₹21.00 LPA, which is about 10.3 months of pay against the fee. The top 50% averaged ₹17.95 LPA, or about 12.0 months. IT and analytics took 27.6% of MBA offers, BFSI took 19.8% and manufacturing took 19.8%. Consulting took 12.1%. The report states 100% placement but gives no placed count. The fee suits students who want these sectors and accept pay near ₹14 to ₹15 lakh. Check twice if you earn more today, because two years of that pay are lost. A student who counts on the ₹45.63 LPA highest package also gains less, since that is one top offer and not the usual one.
