Nine programmes make up the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore's full course list. Is your subject actually offered here, and at what level? One doctoral track, six postgraduate management programmes and two recent undergraduate degrees make up the nine. IIM Bangalore runs no engineering stream and no standalone finance or marketing degree.
Most postgraduate programme here is a general management degree with electives layered on top, but some are specaliased. The entrance test is what separates them. CAT gates the two flagship programmes, GMAT or GRE gates EPGP, and the rest accept a wider mix.
PGP and PGPBA need no work experience. Both run on CAT and take two years, full-time, on campus.
The two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is the one most people mean when they say "IIM Bangalore." It is also the only programme that runs purely on CAT with no work-experience requirement. See the full IIM Bangalore overview for how this fits into the institute's fees, placements and ranking picture. Every other postgraduate programme here assumes the applicant already has a career in progress. That could be a working executive on a one-year break (EPGP), a professional studying on weekends (PGPEM), or a government officer training in public policy (PGPPM).
Who should choose IIM Bangalore's PGP, and who should look at EPGP instead? Who PGP suits: a fresh graduate, or a candidate with under three years of experience, holding a CAT score. Who should look at EPGP instead: a candidate with five years of experience as on 31 March 2027 and a GMAT or GRE score. EPGP does not accept CAT or the IIMB Test, and company sponsorship is not an entry route into it.

What is the IIM Bangalore fee structure for each course? PGP and PGPBA both cost Rs 26,00,000 for the full two years, per IIM Bangalore's PGP Financial Aid and Scholarships page for the 2026-28 batch. EPGP's course fees run to Rs 33,68,000 with on-campus hostel accommodation, or Rs 32,20,000 without it (2026-27 batch). PGPEM's course fees total Rs 20,11,000 in tuition (2026-28 batch), paid across eight instalments. Duration and delivery format differ sharply between them. IIM Bangalore's only fully online degree is the BBA in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship, a three-year undergraduate programme. None of the postgraduate management programmes, including PGP, EPGP and PGPEM, run in a fully online format. PGPPM runs hybrid, mixing online modules with in-person residencies, which is the closest any postgraduate track here comes to a remote option.
A working professional who wants an IIM Bangalore postgraduate credential without relocating should look at PGPEM's weekend and modular structure. IIM Bangalore does not currently run a fully online MBA.
Eligibility splits sharply by programme. Work experience and the accepted entrance exam drive most of that difference:
How does IIM Bangalore treat professional-degree holders? CA, CS, ICWA/CMA and FIAI qualification holders are eligible for PGP and PGPBA too. The same percentage terms apply, even without a separate undergraduate degree, per IIM Bangalore's own eligibility notes.
PGP's Rs 26,00,000 headline course fees figure has stayed flat across the 2024-26 and 2026-28 batches, per the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore's own pages checked for each cycle. The 2025-27 fee page is no longer retrievable, so this page claims two batches, not three. Most private B-schools raise tuition every year or two. Budget on the flat figure, not on an annual increase that IIM Bangalore has not applied. See the full IIM Bangalore fees page for hostel, deposit and instalment detail.
Rs 26,00,000 total for the full two years, 2026-28 batch. Bundles tuition, hostel, library, internet, course material and insurance.
Rs 33,68,000 with on-campus hostel accommodation for the student and spouse, 2026-27 batch. Without accommodation, the total runs Rs 32,20,000.
Rs 20,11,000 in tuition plus a refundable Rs 10,000 deposit, 2026-28 batch, paid across eight instalments.
Doctoral students pay no tuition. IIM Bangalore waives the tuition fee and pays a monthly stipend for five years.
