What Are the IIM Trichy PG Courses?

The flagship two-year, full-time, residential MBA. You complete 96 credits and an 8 to 10 week summer internship. Year 1 is core courses across all management areas. Year 2 is electives and the Make a Difference team project. The Association of Indian Universities recognises it as equivalent to a Master's degree.

What Do You Study in the IIM Trichy PGPM?
Year 1 of the PGPM is core courses such as Business Statistics, Corporate Finance, Marketing Management, Operations Management and Strategy. Each term carries 18 credits. A core elective in Year 1 gives you a view of all elective areas before your summer internship. Year 2 is electives, plus the Make a Difference team project.
How Is the IIM Trichy PGPM-HR Different From the PGPM?
The PGPM-HR is one of the IIM Trichy courses that mixes business core with HR core. HR core includes Fundamentals of HRM, HR Metrics and Analytics, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management and Labour Laws. You also take electives across other areas. Students do an 8 to 10 week summer internship, as in the PGPM.
What Can I Specialise in at IIM Trichy?
You choose electives in the second year of the PGPM. The areas are Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Operations and Decision Sciences, and Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Three more areas are Information Systems and Analytics, Economics and Public Policy, and OB and HR. The PGPBM starts electives after the core courses end in Term IV.

What Does the IIM Trichy PGPBM Include Besides Classes?
The PGPBM includes a capstone industry project, guest talks and an International Week with visiting faculty. Students also make two immersion visits to the Tiruchirappalli campus. They can use the library and computer facilities at the main campus. The programme gives no formal placement help.
