SIBM Pune cutoff is not published as one fixed number, and the shortlist is made on your overall SNAP percentile. SNAP sets the shortlist cutoff separately for each programme. For SNAP 2026, the shortlist date is 19 January 2027. This page explains how the SIBM Pune cutoff works, so you can plan your SNAP attempts. It also shows what the SIBM Pune cut off means at each step. Read the SIBM Pune SNAP cut off as a percentile, not as marks.

No. SIBM Pune cutoff marks are not published, and there is no SIBM Pune previous year cut off or expected cutoff. SNAP results are in percentile, so the SIBM Pune SNAP cutoff 2026 will also be a percentile. Any figure you see elsewhere is an estimate, not an official SIBM Pune cutoff.
SIBM Pune names no minimum SNAP score or percentile. It shortlists on your overall percentile, and SNAP reports a percentile, so a raw score has no fixed meaning until the result on 12 January 2027.
SIBM Pune cannot call a SNAP score of 45 out of 60, or 27, safe or unsafe, because it publishes no SIBM Pune cutoff. The line is set for each programme after the SNAP result. Take up to three tests, and the best score counts.
The SIBM Pune admission cutoff works in three steps: a shortlist cutoff, a merit list cutoff and a wait list. The first uses your overall SNAP percentile. The next two use your final score after the group exercise and interview. The merit score is out of 100, with 50 marks for SNAP, 10 for the group exercise and 40 for the interview. The table shows when each step of the SIBM Pune cutoff 2026 cycle happens for the 2027-29 batch.
| Step | Date | What the cutoff means |
|---|---|---|
| SNAP result | 12 January 2027 | Your percentile is declared |
| Shortlist | 19 January 2027 | Overall SNAP percentile, set for each programme |
| First merit list | 26 February 2027 | Final score, category-wise |
The SIU PG Prospectus 2026-27 says SIBM Pune gets over 75,000 applications for 240 MBA seats. That is about one seat for every 310 applications, so competition for the SIBM Pune cutoff is steep. The group exercise and interview then decide your rank.
SIBM Pune releases the shortlist on 19 January 2027 at 4:00 PM. Slot booking for GE-PI runs from 20 to 24 January 2027. The online GE-PI rounds run from 3 to 7 February and 10 to 14 February 2027.
No. SIBM Pune sets the cutoff separately for the MBA, the I&E MBA and the MBA (HRM-IAIA). This makes the SIBM Pune course wise cutoff different for each programme. You can be shortlisted for one programme and not for another on the same SNAP score.
SIBM Pune sets no section-wise cutoff, and the shortlist uses one overall SNAP percentile. SNAP 2026 has four sections in 60 minutes, and you may attempt them in any order. A weak section does not rule you out by itself. A low total score does, so the SIBM Pune cutoff is a total-score test. A section-wise SIBM Pune cutoff would show in the SNAP bulletin, and the 2026 bulletin shows none.
| SNAP section | Questions | Marking |
|---|---|---|
| General English | 10 | 25% negative |
| Analytical and Logical Reasoning | 20 | 25% negative |
| Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency | 20 | 25% negative |
| Ethics, Morality and Values | 10 | 25% negative |
Spend your minutes where your accuracy is highest, because wrong answers cost 25% of a mark. This raises your SNAP score, which is what the SIBM Pune cutoff reads. The two 20-question sections carry most of the paper, so a high accuracy there lifts your percentile the most.
SIBM Pune category wise cutoff applies to the merit list and the wait list, and the institute shows it on its website. The SNAP 2026 Bulletin says the category-wise cutoff for both lists is displayed there. No SIBM Pune category wise cut off exists for 2026 yet.
Reserved categories have their own seats, and the SIBM Pune cutoff for each category sits in its own merit and wait lists. The seat shares are on the admission page. You choose your category at registration, and it cannot be changed later.
Wait-list movement depends on the vacant seats. SIBM Pune has not published past wait-list numbers, so the SIBM Pune cutoff for the wait list is unknown. Keep checking the website after the first merit list on 26 February 2027.
SIBM Pune expected cutoff cannot be given as a number, because SIBM Pune has never published one. Any figure for the SIBM Pune expected cutoff, or for the SIBM Pune previous year cutoff, would be a guess. The same is true of the SIBM Pune expected cut off for the HRM-IAIA MBA, which starts only in 2027-28. You can still plan around what SIBM Pune does publish.

Book your GE-PI slot at once. Attend every GE-PI component, because absence from one makes you ineligible.
You can, since the registration fee is ₹1,000 for each programme. But the competition is steep, so apply to other Symbiosis institutes through the same SNAP score as well. Do not treat the SIBM Pune cutoff as a pass mark. It is a rank line that moves with each year's applicants.
Open the SIBM Pune admission calendar on sibm.edu after 19 January 2027. The shortlist appears there, and the merit and wait lists with the category-wise cutoff follow.
Four factors move the SIBM Pune cutoff each year: applicants, seats, SNAP scores and programme. SIBM Pune has not published how it weighs any of them. The SIBM Pune cutoff 2026 will therefore move with this year's pool and not with last year's.
👥Pool SizeApplicantsMore candidates mean a higher percentile is needed to stay in the shortlist.🪑IntakeSeatsThe MBA has 240 seats, the I&E MBA has 60 and the HRM-IAIA has 30 from 2027-28.📝Best AttemptSNAP ScoresThe higher of your attempts counts, so a strong second or third attempt can raise your percentile.🎓Per ProgrammeProgrammeThe cutoff is set separately, so the three programmes can differ.Yes, for the merit list. The shortlist cutoff only decides who gets a GE-PI call. The SIBM Pune cutoff for the merit list is a different line. After that, the final score decides rank, so a strong interview can lift you above a higher SNAP percentile.
