SIBM Pune admission eligibility is a graduate degree from a recognised university with 50% marks, or 45% for SC and ST candidates. These SIBM Pune admission requirements are the same for the MBA, the I&E MBA and the HRM-IAIA MBA, as per the SNAP 2026 Bulletin. The questions below cover the groups that ask most.
Yes. Candidates in the final year of graduation can apply for SIBM Pune admission, but admission is subject to 50% (45% for SC and ST) in the qualifying examination.
The MBA (Executive) needs the same graduation marks and at least one year of work experience. SIBM Pune selects these candidates through an interview, and SNAP is not needed. It is a weekend programme at the Lavale campus.
Yes. They apply through the Symbiosis international office, and SNAP is not mandatory for them.
SIBM Pune admission uses SNAP, the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, for all three full-time MBA programmes. SNAP covers 17 Symbiosis institutes and 32 MBA programmes.

The SIBM Pune admission process has seven steps, from SNAP to payment of the first-year fee. This SIBM Pune admission procedure is the same for every full-time MBA. The dates for each step are in the timeline above.
Step 6 is the online GE-PI. The video below is Episode 1 of the Journey to Admissions series from the SIBM Pune Admissions Team channel, February 2026. Its first chapter introduces the GE-PI.

You can choose the MBA, the I&E MBA and the HRM-IAIA MBA. Each costs ₹1,000 to register, so pick only the ones you want. The fee is non-refundable. The how-to-apply page explains the two steps, SNAP first and then the online GE-PI.
SIBM Pune admission selection uses a merit score of 100 marks. SNAP carries 50 marks, the group exercise 10 and the personal interview 40. Your SNAP score of 60 is scaled to 50 marks. These are the SIBM Pune admission criteria for the three full-time MBA programmes.
| Component | Marks | Note |
|---|---|---|
| SNAP score | 50 | Out of 60, scaled to 50 |
| Group exercise (GE) | 10 | Online |
| Personal interview (PI) | 40 | Online |
The Interview Weighs Four Times the Group Exercise
Prepare for the personal interview as seriously as for SNAP. A strong SNAP score alone does not secure a seat.
SIBM Pune admission shortlists on overall SNAP percentile and then selects on the 100-mark merit score.
SIBM Pune shortlists on your overall SNAP percentile. The cutoff is set separately for each programme and none is published in advance. See the cutoff page for how this works.
SIBM Pune ranks shortlisted candidates on the 100-mark score, category-wise. The wait list moves only when seats fall vacant, so your seat is not final until you pay. Pay the fee by 13 March 2027 if you are in the first merit list.
SIBM Pune admission needs your SNAP admit card and score card, a photo ID and a recent photograph. SIBM Pune publishes no separate checklist for the interview stage, so the list below comes from the SNAP 2026 Bulletin and the SIBM Pune how-to-apply page.
For SIBM Pune admission queries, write to admissionsteam@sibmpune.edu.in or call 020-61936076 or 020-61936077. The SNAP helpline is 9071011959, and its email is info@snaptest.org.
SIBM Pune does not publish a numeric cutoff for admission. The shortlist is based on overall SNAP percentile, set for each programme. Category-wise cutoffs for the merit list and the wait list appear on the SIBM Pune website.
Treat Cutoff Lists on Other Websites as Estimates
Percentiles on other websites are not SIBM Pune data. Only the SIBM Pune website shows the official lists.
SIBM Pune names no minimum SNAP score. Beyond the eligibility marks, the shortlist depends on that year's applicants, as the cutoff page explains.
SIBM Pune reserves seats for SC, ST and PwD candidates within the intake, as per the SNAP 2026 Bulletin. The table gives each share.
| Category | Share of seats |
|---|---|
| SC | 15% |
| ST | 7.5% |
| PwD | 3% |
| Kashmiri migrants | 2 seats in each programme |
| International candidates | 25%, supernumerary |
No. You choose your category at the time of registration, and it cannot be changed later. Choose carefully, because reserved categories have their own merit and wait lists.
SIBM Pune has no direct admission to its full-time MBA programmes. Indian candidates need a SNAP score, then the group exercise and personal interview. The lists a Discretionary Quota, but it also considers entrance test scores. The table shows each route.
| Candidate | Test Needed | Route to a Seat |
|---|---|---|
| Indian candidate, open or reserved category | SNAP 2026 | Shortlist, group exercise and personal interview, then merit list |
| Discretionary Quota candidate | Good entrance test score | Considered for a few seats, at double the academic fee |
| NRI, OCI, PIO or foreign candidate | Entrance test not mandatory | Apply through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education |
No, not if you are an Indian candidate. SNAP 2026 is the entry test for the batch 2027-29. Foreign national, OCI and PIO candidates are exempt from the entrance test, and an NRI does not have to take it. These candidates apply through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education. International candidates can fill up to 25% of the sanctioned intake, over and above the regular seats. The SIBM Pune courses page lists the programmes.
The SIU PG Prospectus 2026-27 says a few seats are kept as Discretionary Quota seats. The prospectus considers only students with a reasonable academic record and good entrance test scores. The fee for these seats is double the academic fee of the open category. The student pays it for the whole programme. The academic fee is ₹13,10,000 a year for the MBA in batch 2026-28, as the SIBM Pune fees page shows. The prospectus gives no seat count for this quota.
SIBM Pune announces shortlisted candidates through a web-link on its own website. The SNAP 2026 Bulletin states that no donation or capitation fee is required for any Symbiosis institute. It also cautions parents and students against any such offer from an individual or outside agency. Check any call or message with the admissions team at admissionsteam@sibmpune.edu.in or on 020-61936076 or 020-61936077.
Do Not Pay Anyone for a Seat
Symbiosis states that no donation or capitation fee is needed for admission to any of its institutes. Check your status only on the SIBM Pune website. If anyone asks you for money, write to admissionsteam@sibmpune.edu.in or call 020-61936076 or 020-61936077.
SIBM Pune offers merit-based scholarships to admitted students. They include awards for semester toppers, North East students, IIT graduates and SNAP toppers. The scholarship page has the amounts and rules.
The SIBM Pune MBA fee of about ₹31.7 to 32.2 lakh (batch 2026-28) is about 1.2 times the median CTC of ₹27.00 lakh (batch 2024-26). The SIBM Pune fees page lists what the fee covers. The SIBM Pune placements page gives the offer data.

Fee Against Median CTC
About 14 months of median CTC
The fee equals about 14 months of median CTC. This compares the fee with one year of median CTC, before tax and living cost. It ignores interest on any loan, so it is a rough guide only. The two figures come from different batches, because SIBM Pune has not published the 2027-29 fee. The fee also leaves out the salary a working student gives up for two years. On the average CTC of ₹28.18 lakh, the fee is about 1.1 times one year of pay.
The median of ₹27.00 lakh and the average of ₹28.18 lakh sit close together, so a typical offer is near ₹27 lakh. The highest CTC of ₹74.84 lakh is far above both. Plan your loan around the median and not around the top offer.
The return also depends on your specialisation. Marketing had the highest average CTC at ₹29.48 lakh in 2024-26, and the fee is about 1.1 times that pay. Finance had the lowest at ₹25.73 lakh, and the fee is about 1.2 times that pay. SIBM Pune has not published an education-loan limit. Hostel and mess fees can rise by up to 15% in year 2, so the total can move. Read the SIBM Pune scholarships page for awards that lower the cost.
