North Island College (NIC) Courtenay

After securing a spot in Ryan Road, Courtenay, the North Island College (NIC) Comox Valley campus opened its doors to the public in 1992. It has seen growth as the demand for programming rose as the years went by. The campus also houses the Shadbolt Studios, a modern Trades Training Centre, and the Stan Hagen Theatre. It is also adjacent to the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre and the Comox Valley Hospital.

In 2019, NIC opened another learning space at the former St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox. The campus also leased the former Surgical Day Centre space on the building's first floor.

The Comox Valley campus can be accessed in several ways, including by vehicle, bike, or transit. There are also available bike shelters for cyclists. Nearby residential areas connect to the campus by a network of trails through the wooded areas.
